May we confess, Lord, from the heart that confession that Peter declared so long ago, that you are the Christ of God. You are our anointed (for the word for Messiah/Christ means "anointed") Prophet, Priest, and King.
O Lord, we know that sin has a blinding effect upon the sinner, making him unable to see the obvious. It also has a hardening effect, making him unwilling to be corrected and angry at any who point out the error of his ways.
I pray that I may be loving in times where I need to correct someone, always remembering that no one is perfect and we are all overcoming issues in our lives. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen.
Dear God, I pray that I will never become the type of person who takes delight in pointing out people's flaws. I know that I have my own things I need to deal with and I will never compare my problems with someone else's problems.
O Lord, when we think of our own failings, of how much we ourselves have sinned, how can we think ourselves better than others? how can we look down on them when we are as guilty as they? We all need your forgiveness.
We know, O Lord, that many men will find some excuse to not believe in you. We know that Satan blinds the minds of those who believe not. And we know that you reveal yourself to your people. Help us to reason from the Scriptures and seek to convince men of your Gospel,
May I make a true and sound profession, Lord, of Your Person, Your work of salvation, and of all You have done for me personally in my life. May I never deny You, never be ashamed to testify for You before men. Amen.
Dear God, forgive me for the times I have been filled with envy and acted out of my own selfish desires. Forgive me for coveting what does not belong to me. O Lord, change my attitude! Give me a heart like yours. I want to live for you and not for myself β I
