In a fresh Reality Check interview with Ross Coulthart, Rep. Eric Burlison declared that confirming UAP related non human intelligence would be "the greatest revelation since the birth of Jesus Christ."

🚨 Big update: Anthropic's Mythos and Fable are back.

The Trump administration has officially removed the export restrictions that blocked Anthropic from offering its most advanced AI models globally.

Starting July 1, Anthropic says it will begin restoring access to both models.

What changed?

Anthropic agreed to:

• Detect and respond to security risks
• Work with the U.S. government on future AI safety standards
• Report malicious use of its models

The restrictions, introduced in June, had forced Anthropic to shut down public access because complying with the export rules wasn't practical.

Many AI experts questioned the ban from the beginning.

Some argued it was more about political pressure than AI safety.

Meanwhile, AI companies in Asia continued releasing competing models, increasing pressure on the U.S. to let American AI companies compete globally.

Now the restrictions have been lifted.

But one thing is still clear.

The rules around frontier AI are changing fast.

Companies are building powerful models...

Governments are trying to regulate them...

And the policies are evolving almost as quickly as the technology itself.

The AI race is no longer just about who builds the best model.

It's also about who gets permission to use it.

@LuminaXspace Anthropic created something ahead of other models in many ways. Won't be long before the same performance is replicated in other systems. When average capability reaches similar levels it is much harder to ban.

Saw the film down at the Cineplex here on the Gold Coast. It does justice to the life beyond Earth topic, not hugely showy. Some are bored with the story, some give it rave reviews. I thought they could have consolidated the movie time down about 20 or so minutes to keep the pace up all the way through.
