LT. DAN ARRESTED. Joseph John Malinowski, 54, who gained local fame as “Lieutenant Dan” during Hurricane Milton in Florida, was arrested by #Tampa Police on Friday.

He faces charges for two outstanding warrants for failure to appear in court and a misdemeanor for trespassing in a city park.

Hillsborough County inmate records list Malinowski as a transient and he lists his occupation as 'TikTok Star'.

Authorities report he was warned multiple times to leave Bayshore Linear Park due to a sanitation violation involving his unregistered boat, but he remained, leading to his arrest and the impounding of his vessel. #HurricaneMilton
