How many things can management totally screw up?
BA
SVQ
H&W
RRUs
Etc.etc.etc.
After all of the (condensed list) above, who would trust them to organise a pi$$ up in a brewery never mind make far reaching decisions on the strategic direction of the service (SSRP) for a generation?
OFFS... Not another "recovery plan" . Seriously? WTAF has been happening for years within the service when we need yet another "recovery plan". You really have to wonder how bad it has to get before the service is put into "special measures" by the government.
A week old now but Seth makes a lot of predictions, it will be interesting to see how accurate this and other threads of his as to "the coming storm" actually are.
(🧵) ELECTION THREAD: I’ve been waiting all night to say anything substantive about what’s happened, as I felt—I still do—that I might say something I’d regret.
I hope you’ll consider following along as I try to process this with you all, and try to do it responsibly. Please RT.
You put the BA van in, you take the BA van out, in, out, in, out and f#ck everyone about.
You do the hokey cokey cause you don't know what you're doing.
Knees bent, arms stretched ra, ra ,ra...
Whoa... The hokey cokey...
Ad infinitum .
So it's taken almost 12 years to finally draw all the T&C's together. 12 Years. Doesn't exactly instil any belief and confidence in management that this has dragged on for so long especially with all the major challenges facing the service over the next few years.
It's a pity they spent their time schmoozing and having tea and biscuits instead of laying proper foundations (agreeing T&C's???) for the future but like most things it was all built on sand/smoke/mirrors/bluff/persuasion.
Bernoulli's principle, always a favourite question in the IFE exams back in the day.
Good to see it in being out to practical (and very effective) use.
It's easy to take the piss out of the newest and most eager to please and therefore most vulnerable and unwilling to make a fuss. It wouldn't be like this if it were senior officers running as competent but not getting the proper pay rate. It's not fair, not right so fix it!!!
I'll make a request. Can someone in authority please just make a decision about when trainees become competent!!! Years on from the start of this clown-show no one has taken responsibility and been willing to put it in writing. We know SVQ consider when the folder is IV'd...
but still there's nothing in writing from anyone in authority within the service. Is at 33 months with a completed folder, green phase completion, last entry into folder, TFoC completion. It doesn't really matter but just make a rational decision you can stand by.
This Chinese idea might work or it might not work but at least they're trying.
Meanwhile back in the 18 century some services still use beaters, backpacks, full structural PPE, LPPs, lines of hose and buy the incorrect type of ATVs to extinguish grass fires...
