ペルセウス座流星群の明るい火球が出現しました。2026年8月13日3時5分28秒に出現したペルセウス座流星群の火球を、富士から天頂向きのカメラで捉えた様子です。永続痕がしばらく残っていました。

🥞 In Antarctica, it's not only the station chef making pancakes—the ocean does too! 🧊

These beautiful icy discs are called pancake ice. They form when waves and wind shape slushy ice or break up thin sea ice into rounded floes that gently bump into each other, smoothing their edges. Each "pancake" can range from about 30 cm to several meters across.

❄️ In this photo, the pancake ice is illuminated by Antarctica's low winter sun. Around Ukraine's Vernadsky station, the sun appears for only a few hours a day during winter and never climbs high above the horizon—creating truly spectacular light.
