I started the Crypto Intelligence Network (CIN) because I want people to understand the dark side of crypto before it costs them.
I learned that lesson twice. The hard way.
🧵
@BraveX_DeFi Congrats on 500! 🥂 A hundred new followers in 12 days is real momentum. Only pushing what you truly have conviction in is rare in this space, and honestly an example for me. Hope we can support each other somewhere along the way.
3 Telegram settings every (crypto) user should change today:
1. Two-step verification with a password and recovery email
2. Privacy → Phone Number → Nobody
3. Never park funds in a trading bot wallet
A token did $2.6M in volume in 24 hours.
It never went above ~$650K market cap.
It was 2 hours old.
Then it rugged.
When volume runs 4x the market cap that fast, it's usually the same money going in circles. Not new buyers.
Volume is not demand.
You got scammed, and posted about it.
Within an hour: "I'm a recovery specialist, I can trace your funds."
That's scam two. It found you because you announced you'd just lost money.
Real recovery never starts with a stranger in your DMs asking for a fee or your seed phrase.
@CoinMarketCap Honest answer: any community where someone says "wait, check the liquidity lock first" before everyone apes in. That's the vibe at CIN Explorers. Got scammed twice, so now we teach the warning signs for free. 🛡️
@BraveX_DeFi@CarreNFT Fair point. The best mentors usually are the ones with the scars. Kudos to @CarreNFT for sharing the mistakes, not just the wins.
@StalkHQ Two more red flags right on the chart: $2.6M in 24h volume on a token that never topped ~$650K market cap, and it was 2 hours old. Volume 4x the market cap that fast is usually the same money going in circles, not new buyers.
@Eyuel88 Cheap lesson, glad it was only $25. The red flags were right there on the card: LP not locked, top 10 wallets holding 95%, sell tax 100%. Any one of those alone is a no. Ten seconds of reading beats any FOMO.
@manhhuynh2310@QwertiAI Good take. One more limit: any score is a snapshot. A lock that expires next week or a dev wallet that starts selling won't show up in the number you saw at entry. Check how long the liquidity is locked, not just whether it is.
@shaban_shaame Saving this. One more layer: Telegram > Privacy > Phone Number > Nobody, so your number can't be pulled from your username in the first place. And if you use Telegram trading bots, set their withdrawal PIN. Never park funds in a bot wallet.
@Seam_Official10 Sorry man. An address that changes on its own is often clipboard malware, so check that device before you move more funds. Habits that save you: compare the first and last 6 characters, send a small test first, and whitelist your own addresses.
@TheRiteChain@StarPlatinum_ Been there. The ones you believe in hurt the most, because belief makes you skip the checks. Locked liquidity and who holds the supply tell you more than the vibes ever will.
@Qusai7801379872 Sorry, that hurts. 2 days of failed txs means they have your seed or key, so treat that wallet as burned. New wallet, new seed phrase, move anything left now. Report the address to Phantom. And ignore every DM promising recovery, those are scammers too.
@Marcellus792724@LisaRayxx I'm sorry, that's a rough one. Got scammed twice myself. Stop sending, block them, and report the accounts. Real people never get angry about money. And watch out: anyone who DMs you offering to recover your losses is usually the next scam.
@NyouzFR Got scammed twice myself. Different market, same lesson. The scam isn't the end of the story, it's the tuition. Would love that thread, especially what you changed in how you vet a deal after getting burned.
@Iamdjexplicit@A_R_ATTA@ahmedxm01 Yeah, I've spent months watching Telegram groups noticing the same thing.
Deleting losing calls, or only posting the 'profit'. And many of those were paper trades. There wasn't real money in them.
@Iamdjexplicit@A_R_ATTA@ahmedxm01 What you're describing is the whole trick: deleting the losing calls so new followers only see the wins.
Real track records show the losses too.
Sorry this happened to you.
