5/5 Finally, we met to discuss the ethical implications of using AI and participated in a lively debate about guidelines, and appropriate uses of these emerging tools. Thank you @asab_org for a thought provoking day!
1/5 🎉 Just wrapped up an exhilarating day at the 'AI in Animal Behaviour Research' workshop during @asab_conference! 🐾💻 Our groups use of AI produced some mixed results and it sparked some interesting conversations! #ASAB2024#AnimalBehavior#AI @njd_walsh @roxybholmes
2/5 Our group initially attended a coding session where we looked at ways to include AI use to improve our coding output. We experimented with a dataset looking at aggression in Rhesus macaques (Macaca mulatta) as they age. We used ChatGPT for suggestions on coding.
4/5 We attended a ‘writing’ session where we generated titles and abstracts, and even twitter threads, that could be used to promote our research with varying results.
3/5 Next we attended a ‘visuals’ session where we experimented with image generation. Feeding ‘aggression in young and old rhesus macaques’ into Runway produced the following image. We then used Samsung’s Galaxy AI to edit the image and make it less terrifying (see above)!
