ASIO WARNED THEM. POLICE WERE BRIEFED. WHAT HAPPENED NEXT?
On 12 October 2023, ASIO Director-General Mike Burgess warned:
“Words matter. ASIO has seen direct connections between inflamed language and inflamed community tensions.”
On 5 August 2024, ASIO raised Australia’s terrorism threat level, identifying politically motivated violence as one of its principal security concerns.
ASIO didn’t simply issue a public warning.
It directly briefed state and territory law-enforcement agencies about the increased threat and the reasons for its assessment.
Then, on 19 February 2025, Burgess warned:
“The normalisation of violent protest and intimidating behaviour lowered the threshold for provocative and potentially violent acts.”
He said narratives originally centred on “freeing Palestine” had expanded to include incitements to “kill the Jews”, while threats had progressed from harassment and intimidation to the specific targeting of Jewish communities, places of worship and prominent individuals.
The chronology matters.
ASIO warned that words matter.
ASIO raised the terrorism threat level.
ASIO directly briefed state and territory police.
ASIO warned that violent protest and intimidating behaviour had become normalised.
Yet protests involving antisemitic, dehumanising and threatening conduct continued, while serious questions remain about why existing laws were not more effectively enforced.
Even more extraordinarily, before Bondi the Albanese Government had removed ASIO Director-General Mike Burgess from his permanent place at the National Security Committee of Cabinet.
Then came the antisemitic terrorist attack at Bondi.
So surely one of the central questions for the Royal Commission is:
WHAT HAPPENED BETWEEN THE WARNINGS AND BONDI?
What did governments do with ASIO’s warnings?
What did police do?
Why weren’t existing laws effectively enforced?
What decisions were made at the highest levels of government?
And were opportunities to intervene earlier missed?
These questions must be put directly to our most senior police and political leaders, including Prime Minister Anthony Albanese and Home Affairs Minister Tony Burke.
This isn’t about political point-scoring.
It is about accountability.
If repeated national-security warnings were given, police agencies were specifically briefed, and the situation nevertheless deteriorated to the point described by the Director-General of ASIO, Australians deserve to know who knew what, what they did, and why it wasn’t enough.
A Royal Commission established in the aftermath of Bondi must be prepared to ask the most rigorous questions of those entrusted with keeping Australians safe.
Failure to do so risks undermining both the credibility of the Royal Commission and the accountability Australians are entitled to expect.
Every Australian deserves answers.

1,000 days since Oct 7th massacre.
1,000 days since Israeli hostages were taken captive into Gaza.
1,000 days since Israeli women were rapped and sexually assaulted.
And 1,000 days since UN Special Rapporteur Francesca Albanese has been acting as a mouthpiece for Hamas.
Douglas Murray: "Not one hostage I spoke with found any Gazan Palestinian who showed even the slightest human kindness. It was all celebration."
Not one Gazan saved the hostages.
The scandalous conduct of the UN’s Commission of Inquiry against Israel continues, now with the absurd allegation that Israel deliberately targets Palestinian children. This grotesque Hamas propaganda simply regurgitates the medieval blood libel - of Jews killing children - and continues the familiar pattern of projection in all these false allegations against Israel. The involvement of UN bodies in this circus is truly disgraceful and renders the institution itself absurd.
Let’s not forget that so-called Palestinian celebrated the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001.
Anyone showing sympathy for Hamas should be honest about what that support really stands for.
🚨BREAKING: The IDF has released new footage of the massive Hezbollah terror underground tunnel it destroyed yesterday, full of weapons.
The tunnel was just 6 miles from Israeli civilians.
Share this. The mainstream media won't.
Top Hamas commanders:
“Our issue is not just Palestine, our issue is killing every non-Muslim. We will pursue Jews and Christians all over the world. Either they convert to Islam or we’ll kill them!”
Iran has just been nominated to preside over the UN Committee for the protection of women's rights, human rights, and the prevention of terrorism.
YES, IRAN. And it was supported by the United Kingdom, Spain, and France.
This is not a joke. It's real.

Anyone thinking these ISIS brides were influenced when they were in-charge should look at this. You need to feel zero pity for them. They can live in Afghanistan or Syria, fully subsided for the rest of their lives with a home given to them, monthly allowances and future positions in the terrorist group of their choice for their sons. The naive fools returning them to the west are not capable of outplaying their game.
