India has officially inducted the indigenous Netra Mk1 AWACS into full combat service after it received Final Operational Clearance from DRDO.

The platform has already proven its capabilities during the 2019 Balakot airstrikes and Operation Sindoor in 2025.

With work on the more advanced Netra Mk2 underway, India now joins the elite group of nations capable of designing and manufacturing its own AWACS platforms.

🚨 #ExpressInvestigation | The Union Minister of State for Agriculture Bhagirath Choudhary received a ₹99.03 lakh subsidy for a commercial cucumber farming project under a scheme run by the ministry he serves in.

While the final approval was granted by an NHB project approval committee that does not include the minister, Choudhary is the ex-officio Vice-President of the NHB board that oversees its functioning.

The project, worth ₹1.99 crore, was among 467 approved under the scheme in 2025.

For being brutally honest India made many strategic miscalculations in Foreign Policy for which it is paying elevated costs.

First it was backing Trump once again in 2024 despite knowing what Economic & Trade Agenda he brought to table.

Secondly, the timing of visit to Israel was awfully bad. What prompted that would be difficult to guess but it was mistimed.

We ended up paying huge economic costs for American-Israeli war in Iran, losing remittances, elevated energy costs, FPI/FDI exodus, loss of 3 Indian sailors at hands of US Navy !

There should be introspection how did we get it so wrong. Russian Oil was our saviour.

Expensive American LNG, Tar Filled Venezuelan crude with high landing costs exacerbated the FX pressure on Rupee.

Now all depends on Midterms. Hope Trump looses, so that India can gain some leverage back. And we hold back signing any trade deal till the midterms.
