@NateSilver538 I think there's a flaw in this statistic as only drawn games go to Extra time - so you are comparing games between teams playing evenly (ET & Pens) vs all other types of games.

This trend of winning more in regulation time should be true for every team.

Taking nothing away from @carlosalcaraz , the level of tennis @DjokerNole played at the us open was nothing short of breathtaking. A year younger Djoko - or even a day younger - and the result could have been very different. The second set truly could have gone either way.
