Stop punishing women for the crimes committed against them.

Across our country, women are afraid to walk the streets, afraid of being harassed, afraid of being raped. And the government’s answer: stay at home.

This is patriarchy at work: a system that blames the victim and shields the criminal. It is time to smash it.

The solution is not to lock women inside. It is to make our streets safe, to confront the mindset of men who mistreat women, and to punish those who attack them, swiftly and without exception.

Thousands of students and young people are on the streets demanding safety for women. I urge even more young women, especially GenZ across India to come out in stronger numbers.

This government is deaf to your pain and will only listen when it’s under pressure.

Peaceful protest is your democratic right, and I stand with you wholeheartedly.

It's horrible. The crimes against women are just increasing. Violence against women has become more frequent, and they are feeling unsafe.

There’s no point in talking about big schemes and programmes if we can’t even ensure the safety of women on streets.

The State Governments, and especially the Central Government, need to think about how they are going to ensure that women feel safe.

The video from Jamui, Bihar is deeply disturbing.

Two Class 10 students were stopped on a road. Harassed. Humiliated. Molested. A young girl, hands folded, begged to be let go while goons groped her and dragged her away.

Who gave these men the right to behave like this? This is not "culture." It is patriarchy: the belief that any man can police a girl's body, her movement, her choices.

When control is mistaken for culture, and such attitudes are normalised by Andhbhakts, mobs start believing they are the law.

Every individual in that video must be identified and prosecuted under POCSO, and justice must be swift. And if the incident happened on September 19th, why are the culprits not behind bars yet?

And the Bihar government must answer why a girl is not safe on a public road at 7 pm?

बिहार के जमुई का एक वीडियो बहुत बेचैन करने वाला है।

10वीं क्लास के एक छात्र और छात्रा को रास्ते में जबरदस्ती रोक लिया गया। उन्हें प्रताड़ित किया गया, अपमानित किया गया और छात्रा के साथ उत्पीड़न किया गया। बच्ची हाथ जोड़कर उसे जाने देने की विनती करती रही, मगर गुंडे उसे गलत तरीके से छूते और खींचतान करते रहे।

इन लोगों को ऐसी बदतमीज़ी करने का हक किसने दिया? यह "संस्कृति" नहीं है, यह patriarchy है: ये सोच कि किसी भी पुरुष का किसी लड़की के शरीर, उसके आने-जाने और उसकी पसंद-नापसंद पर नियंत्रण है।

जब नियंत्रण को ही संस्कृति मान कर 'अंधभक्त' ऐसी सोच को सामान्य ठहराते हैं, तो भीड़ को लगने लगता है कि वही कानून है।

उस वीडियो में दिख रहे हर व्यक्ति की पहचान होनी चाहिए और उन अपराधियों पर POCSO के तहत मुकदमा चलाकर उन्हें जल्द से जल्द सजा मिलनी चाहिए। और अगर ये घटना 19 सितंबर की है तो गुनहगार अब तक सलाखों के पीछे क्यों नहीं हैं?

और बिहार सरकार जवाब दे कि शाम 7 बजे कोई लड़की राज्य की सड़कों पर सुरक्षित क्यों नहीं है?

दिल्ली में एक 17 साल की बच्ची के साथ क्रूरता की सारी हदें पार कर दी गईं और उसके बाद उसे बर्बरता से मार डाला गया। कुछ ही दिनों पहले एक और नाबालिग लड़की का बलात्कार किया गया।

देश में महिला सुरक्षा के लिए कोई ज़िम्मेदारी लेने को तैयार ही नहीं है - महिलाओं के विकास की सिर्फ़ खोखली बातें की जाती हैं। सैकड़ों महिलाओं पर अत्याचार होते हैं, हिंसा होती है मगर अपराधियों पर ठोस कार्रवाई की वे उम्मीद नहीं कर सकतीं - FIR दर्ज तक नहीं होते।

समाज और सरकार दोनों, महिलाओं को सुरक्षा, स्वतंत्रता और समानता का अधिकार देने में पूरी तरह से विफल हैं।

बिहार में आई विनाशकारी बाढ़ से हुई जनहानि अत्यंत दुखद और हृदयविदारक है।

इस आपदा में अपने प्रियजनों को खोने वाले परिवारों के प्रति अपनी गहरी संवेदनाएं व्यक्त करता हूं। त्रासदी से प्रभावित सभी लोगों के साथ मेरी सहानुभूति है।

कांग्रेस कार्यकर्ताओं से अपील है कि वो आगे बढ़कर प्रभावित लोगों की हरसंभव मदद करें। साथ ही, सरकार और प्रशासन से अपेक्षा है कि वो राहत एवं बचाव कार्यों को पूरी तत्परता के साथ चलाकर प्रभावित परिवारों तक आवश्यक सहायता जल्द से जल्द पहुंचाए।

मोदी सरकार ने चुपचाप UPI पर फ़ीस लगाने का रास्ता खोल दिया है।

अब ₹2,000 से ऊपर के merchant UPI लेन-देन पर MDR लगाया जा सकता है। इन ट्रांजैक्शंस की संख्या भले ही सिर्फ़ 5% हो, लेकिन UPI के कुल transaction value का करीब 65% इन्हीं में है।

सरकार कहती है कि ग्राहक से कोई फ़ीस नहीं ली जाएगी। लेकिन दुकानदार पर लगने वाली फ़ीस आखिर आएगी कहां से? कीमतों में जुड़कर ग्राहक की जेब से।

अमेरिकी payment कंपनियां लंबे समय से भारत की zero-MDR नीति का विरोध करती रही हैं। अब मोदी सरकार ने ठीक उसी दिशा में नीति बदलने का रास्ता खोल दिया है।

US Trade Deal की तरह ही, Compromised PM मोदी एक बार फिर अमेरिकी दबाव के सामने surrender कर रहे हैं।
