@SPORTYVISHAL Gambhir’s solo calls was always bad.
Gill as T20I vice-captain, Shreyas dropped even from ODIs, no place for Jaiswal… all questionable.
It’s the players backed by Rohit & Dravid, along with the culture and core they built that’s still helping India win titles
Most protected man in Indian cricket. Lost Test series, ODI series to SL & T20 to Ireland. India dominated events under Rohit & Dravid - one bad game in 2023 denied 3 straight titles. This team was built by them. Otherwise he’d have made Gill T20 captain & dropped Iyer from ODIs.
@Shebas_10dulkar Hey @Shebas_10dulkar, even with the narrative that Rohit doesn’t perform in IPL, he’s just 80–90 runs behind Kohli’s despite Kohli playing many games at 49m Chinnaswamy, where even Chahal thinks he can smash sixes. Plus, Rohit has batted 100+ innings at No. 5 or lower. @grok
@DrSanjivGoenka This is the same reason reason he eliminated MSD as captain from RPSG as they were at last in 2016, sacked KLR because he used to play slow and very poor with his decisions on field & removing Gambhir as coach because he wasn’t able to win knockouts even with a good team.
@the_hindu Rohit brought this change with Ganguly’s backing as coach. Gambhir and co are benefiting from that culture. Gambhir calls are still questionable like ignoring Sanju and backing Gill even as VC without any performance in t20. It’s only Gill’s poor form that exposed him otherwise..
@ShashiTharoor Strange how Mr. Tharoor hasn’t acknowledged Rohit Sharma at all 2019 WC, 2024 T20 WC, ICC title win, CT final knock. And now ignoring him here too. Not a single post on his entire timeline praising Rohit.
@bholination SRMB Limited makes over 2500 crore a year & this kiddo thinks they can’t afford Kohli. Bhai they proudly run with the tagline ‘Champions Ki Pasand’ & that’s why they got Rohit-Dhoni. Bas koi isko samjha do ki brand strategy X ke 2rs troll nahi chalate.
@SPORTYVISHAL Rohit was No. 4 with 745 points & Kohli No. 6 with 724 before the Aus series (21 point gap). After that Rohit made 348 & Kohli 376. Normally 28 runs can’t close 21 points, but with MRF rankings you never know even though Rohit did well against higher ranked team on away pitches.

Let me shock you with another reality.
Even in his so called hyped 2019 WC he had less SR than Kohli in most of the matches despite having PP advantage.
@hxns1anda Out of three he was the second highest runs scorer in two of the tournament & the highest rated player in both of them. So he clears everyone. Period.
