Many pivot traders wait for the PPivot to be reached and then trade the direction of the price at the PPivot

as already mentioned, pivots are calculated from the past

Pivot point (PP) = (High + Low + Close )/3
(R1) = (2 x PP) – Low
(S1) = (2 x PP) – High
(R2) = PP + (High – Low)
(S2) = PP – (High – Low)
(R3) = High + 2(PP – Low)
(S3) = Low – 2(High – PP)

pivots are displayed in our indicator as

PPivot
S1/R1
S2/R2
S3/R3
S4/R4
S5/R5

S=Support
R=Resistance

so there are 11 lines in total

I personally only use only the

PPivot
S1/R1
S2/R2

this is sufficient in most cases

For the standard pivots there are the TF's

Daily ➡️ valid for a whole day ( 24 h )
Monthly ➡️ valid for one month ( 28-31 days )
Yearly ➡️ valid for a whole year ( 365 days )

Pivot Points Standard is the one I use and can be used directly without much change in settings.

I actually use only 2 pivots in the line " Number of pivots back".
but in this example I'll use 10
