Union Health Minister Shri Jagat Prakash Nadda chaired a high-level review meeting to assess preparedness for Dengue and Malaria ahead of the monsoon and post-monsoon seasons.
He stressed the need for early preparedness, strengthened surveillance, timely reporting, and swift response measures, and called for coordinated action by States and Union Territories, local administrations, and healthcare institutions to prevent and control mosquito-borne diseases.

He also directed healthcare facilities to ensure adequate availability of medicines, diagnostic services, blood components, hospital beds, and trained personnel to maintain uninterrupted, quality patient care.
