@youfreakinnerd@hana_biart reducing David's fall to something like "he only lived to take Lucy to the moon. He is a bad character"
It's a love story, and they both lived and died for it. In my opinion, both are well-written from beginning to end. There's a reason they resonated with so many people
@youfreakinnerd@hana_biart Yeah, She discovered that Arasaka was after David and saw how Maine and Dorio died in the most horrible way possible, one of them dying from the same thing that is consuming David.
Why would she even want to continue after all that? Personally, reducing Lucy to that is like me+
@GoingProbably@Kroutonus@shakesqueeerr I haven't seen Horimiya, so I don't know if the joke is like that in there, but it's usually a scenario/joke that's used to make fun of the person being dumped.
@GoingProbably@Kroutonus@shakesqueeerr I can get the joke in the sense that, for example; when you're a man and your girlfriend leaves you for a woman, your friends will laugh and usually say things like, "Dude, you were such a bad boyfriend that your gf literally became a lesbian."
@amnaynev@wiibsune It's quite funny how Itto constantly refuses to be forgotten and reappears at events almost spontaneously; the perks of having Rengoku's face, I suppose.
@chudst4ke@YURIpilledangel@kaoru_san22 Personally, I've seen it happen much more than with queer couples, although it could also be because I don't consume much queer manga/anime/content.
For example, I've seen it quite a bit with DenReze, YutaMaki, SubaRem. But again, thats just my personal experience with the term
@Monomiku39ni@kaoru_san22 I think it's interesting, it's like that phrase from a straight man saying "I like women so much, that if I were one, I would be a lesbian."
@YURIpilledangel@kaoru_san22 What happens if the phrase is used in a heterosexual couple? Honestly, I always saw this term as a funny and not very serious way of saying "This character loves this character so much."
@Sircptwaffles@jamiezstarlet@Lemonnessaa I feel that Goose could also make the separation between Jax and Leroy by calling Jax "he/him" since he never really transitioned even if it was his desire
Yk, to give the character a more "tragic" touch, or maybe goose will simply start calling Jax a "she".
We'll have to wait
@ovbiirin@tamiloveslesbos I mean, it's not a bad topic for a story, regardless of sexuality, in my opinion.
It's a bit overused now, but not necessarily a bad thing if its done well
