1/ On Friday, the Syrian Transitional Government (STG) announced it will recognize certificates issued by the Autonomous Administration, a major step for the region's education system, which operated for years without recognition from Damascus.

“For years, our students continued studying despite war, displacement, and the absence of recognition,” she said. “The legitimacy of this education came... from the determination of students, teachers, and families... Today, these efforts are being acknowledged.”

📌 8,677 Iraqi nationals were repatriated from camps in NES.
📌 Only 40 third-country nationals were repatriated in 2025, an 87% decrease from 304 in 2024.
Last week, approx. 1,300 SDF members entered a training program under the Syrian Ministry of Defense (SMD), marking a significant step in the ongoing integration of NES' forces into state military institutions.
This is the first group of trainees, with two more groups to follow.
"Internal Security Forces of the STG & SDF intervened. Those responsible for the escalation were later arrested.
At present, the situation in Kobane is calm. Some social media pages circulated claims that the army had launched attacks. These reports are false."

"Some tensions occurred between Kurdish and Arab communities. In Ashme village, which is located near Ja’di village, a dispute broke out between residents of the two villages. The situation escalated, and weapons were used."

RIC researcher, Robin Fleming, said:
“Despite the fact, sleeper-cell attack rates have been low throughout 2026 concerns remain that the STG won’t be able to sufficiently counter the threat of ISIS. Attacks may have been low... but raids & arrests of cells were even lower."
