Children and families in the streets, homeless and without food…
This is what the city of Raqqa has been left like after the Kurds withdrew from Raqqa and the al-Julani government and Turkey took control of it.

Why is no one talking about the deliberate demographic engineering and illegal Turkish-led Palestinian settlements on Kurdish land in Efrin since 2018?
In 2018, Turkey launched an illegal invasion of the Kurdish city of Afrin in Rojava. The invasion led to the mass catastrophic displacement of over 300.000 Kurds, who were forced to flee to areas such as Shahba and the Kurdish neighborhoods of Sheikh Maqsood and Ashrafiyeh in Aleppo which, incidentally, were subjected to ethnic cleansing in January 2026. Since then, the local Kurdish population has faced ongoing persecution and displacements.
Today, displaced Kurds are systematically prevented from returning to their homes in Efrin and Serê Kaniyê. Properties and lands have not only been seized by outsiders, but Palestinian organizations including the Palestinians of 48 Association with the approval of Turkish authorities and local military rulers, constructed permanent housing complexes and villages to rehouse Arab and Palestinian settlers.
International observers, the UN, and human rights organizations such as Syrians for Truth and Justice (STJ) consistently affirm in all their reports that this constitutes deliberate political and demographic engineering, permanently transforming a historically Kurdish-majority region through illegal Turkish-led Arab and Palestinian occupation.
Human rights organizations including Amnesty International, Human Rights Watch, the Ceasefire Centre for Civilian Rights, and YASA unanimously conclude in their reports that the occupying power and its allied militias are committing systematic abuses: property confiscation, looting, expulsion, and the establishment of illegal settlements on confiscated Kurdish land.
Now that Kurds are “promised” the right to return, they face brutal violence by the illegal settlers. This is happening in Serê Kaniyê 👇

On the 12th anniversary of the Yazidi genocide, we remember the innocent victims who were executed by ISIS terrorist organization, we bow our heads to all our comrades who sacrificed their lives to save the lives of thousands of people
Fake news. The PKK is not going to demobilize from the Medya Defense Zones, least of all from Gara, which is the land bridge between Qandil and Sinjar. Without it, Yazidi autonomy would lose the ability to receive PKK reinforcements in the event of an attack; that line of support is what saved them from genocide by ISIS in 2014. And now you have Hakan Fidan openly floating a joint operation with Hashd al‑Shaabi against those same Yazidis. Unless a peace process between the PKK and Turkey ends with Öcalan and tens of thousands of Kurdish political prisoners walking free, talk of “PKK demobilization” is not analysis, it is propaganda.
These are the people occupying Serê Kaniyê. They refuse to leave and prevent the Kurds from returning to their homes and their city.
They are mercenaries working for Turkey, a group of criminal gangs involved in prostitution and drug trafficking. These same people held a demonstration in which they threatened that any Kurd who returns will be killed.
Serê Kaniyê, the Kurdish city that stood firm against all jihadist and terrorist groups, remained resilient until Turkey brought these people in and attacked the Kurds with internationally prohibited weapons, with a green light from the United States in 2019. The Kurds were subjected to abuses and forcibly displaced, and these people were then settled in Kurdish homes and on Kurdish lands.

PKK Leader Murat Karayilan: "Opening a new front between the Iranian regime and the Kurds will serve no one's interests"
-The cessation of the confrontation between the United States and Iran is a positive development. We hope it is not merely a temporary truce but evolves into lasting stability, because political issues cannot be resolved through war and violence
-If certain circles within the Iranian authorities believe that, following the end of that confrontation, they can intensify pressure on the Kurds, they are making a strategic mistake. The Kurdish people were not a party to that war and should not be made to bear the consequences of a conflict in which they had no involvement.
-We have received reports of clashes and the deaths of martyrs in Rojhilatê Kurdistan. On this occasion, I remember all the martyrs of freedom and pay tribute to our people's resistance in the face of all forms of repression and pressure.
-Opening a new front between the Iranian state and the Kurds will serve no one's interests. Such a confrontation will only produce further losses, whereas the real solution lies in dialogue and addressing the Kurdish issue through political and democratic means, not through a security or military approach.
-If our people are attacked or forced into confrontation, it is only natural that they defend themselves.
PJAK Executive Council Member Fuad Bêrîtan: "We did not participate in the war waged by the United States and Israel against Iran, despite possessing significant defensive capabilities and having many of our forces inside Kurdistan."

The martyrs Jiyan Cudî and Çîçek Kobani, members of the Women’s Protection Units (YPJ), rose up and fought against terrorist organizations. They were martyred while defending their land and their Kurdish people until their last moments.
We will never forget our martyrs, and we will continue on their path until our land and our people are free.
