Continued Harassment and Criminal Activity at Webb House Raises Concerns Over Public Safety

In another night of vandalism, harassment, trespassing, and intimidation, volunteer security personnel at Webb House, home to the Ahmadi Religion of Peace and Light, retreated indoors after enduring more than a month of sustained abuse, including assaults, racial and religious slurs, threats, and other alleged criminal acts.

Shortly afterward, masked individuals and other agitators reportedly set off firecrackers at the property's entrance gate, causing a tarpaulin covering the gate to catch fire.

Once the fire department arrived, the police dispersed the crowd.

The Ahmadi Religion of Peace and Light fully supports freedom of thought and expression, including the right to peaceful protest. However, the community remains committed to documenting and highlighting what it describes as an ongoing campaign of criminal behaviour that has occurred daily and nightly since 3 May 2026.

According to the community, numerous incidents have been recorded and documented involving hooded and masked individuals as well as an aggressive crowd. Alleged offences include trespassing, assault, attempted arson, vandalism, racial and religious abuse, doxxing, public disorder, harassment, and other criminal conduct.

The situation has also raised concerns among residents. Members of the Ahmadi Religion of Peace and Light report receiving messages of support from numerous people in the area who affirm the community's right to live and worship in peace and safety. Residents have likewise expressed concern about the ongoing escalation of tensions and disorder surrounding Webb House on Victoria Avenue in Crewe.

As incidents continue, questions remain regarding public safety, the protection of religious minorities, and the effectiveness of measures taken to prevent further escalation.
