On 12 June at #UNHQ, the Group of Friends for Combating Technology-Facilitated Trafficking in Persons was officially launched, bringing together 25 founding members determined to confront trafficking in the digital age.

In his opening remarks, Amb. Jihoon Cha underscored that technology-facilitated trafficking lies where digital transformation meets human rights. As AI and digital tools are abused to recruit and exploit victims, our solidarity to protect human dignity must evolve just as fast.

@UNODC Executive Director Monica Juma delivered the keynote: as criminal networks grow more connected, so must our response. Technology must become a force for protection and human dignity — not a tool for exploitation.

On June 10, the Permanent Mission of the Republic of Korea to the United Nations hosted a reception marking the 20th anniversary of the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities. #CRPD20

In his welcome remarks, Ambassador Cha honored two decades of progress and reaffirmed the Republic of Korea's commitment to disability rights, guided by the principle, nothing about us, without us.

🌊 Celebrating #WorldOceansDay, the ROK Mission hosted a reception to promote #UNOC4, to be co-hosted by Korea and Chile in 2028, along with a special gimbap-making experience.
