Best: D, I get to sit near L AND if I play my cards right, get some sweets (I just know Watari must have something ready for L). H would also be good.
Worst: A and B, because I don’t hate myself quite that much.
So many DC characters in modern comics feel like they're being cannibalised by being pushed into tropes to create a superficially coherent theme for their appearances. They become *too* digestible. Watters' Nightwing is one I've seen that's actually pushing back against that
When I say Dan Watters brought Dick Grayson back to life, I mean it literally; he is the only one in a long time to finally break the current trend of pigeonholing the Robins into "the good one," "the bad one," and "the smart one."
i love that on new comic book day i can read about dick grayson being haunted by a witch & experiencing suffocating isolation & identity loss, and then open up a different issue to watch batman and superman go on a side quest to play baseball in the ninth circle of hell
Now that Blüdhaven Lore arc has concluded, just one more appreciation post for one of my favorite arcs not only from Dan's run, but Nightwing as a whole. Giving the city he protects and loves more heart and lore only made me love Nightwing more as a character. Also, I think the portrayal of mental health this run has gone under appreciated, what a beautifully written piece of Dick's journey. His suffering is long from over but going through this rollercoaster with my favorite character was everything and more than I ever expected! Nightwing and Blüdhaven was born again.
Thank you Dan and Denys for your incredible work 😭 hopefully we get more! 🫶🏼 @DanPGWatters@DenysCowan

Characters, especially female characters, getting revenge for their exploitation will always intrigue me. I love how bludhaven lore begins and ends with the witch 😭
People hating on Maggie or the show for the shin of *check notes* starting to heal and move on, after 17 years of her husband’s death, are so freaking weird. She deserves happiness, and her finding it doesn’t erase or diminish the love she has for Glenn.
