South Korea has overtaken the UK economically.

Their government spending is 23% of GDP and the UK Government is now over 45% of GDP.

If government spending was a great idea for economic growth South Korea wouldn’t have gone from rubble to riches in a single lifetime.

Look around the world - Ireland, Singapore, Switzerland, Dubai… have all improved their economies with small Governments (as a share of GDP). Look at Canada, Australia and the UK who have all been made worse through government debt and spending.

The SNP’s Monklands Hospital fiasco is peak incompetence.

They spent years dithering, then campaigned hard on a shiny new £2.1bn replacement in their 2026 manifesto.

The moment they won, they scrapped the business case as “too expensive,” ordered a redesign, and left patients and staff at the crumbling old hospital twisting in the wind.

Now North Lanarkshire Council is joining the queue to sue them for this blatant U-turn.

Another broken promise, another waste of time and public money, another example of an SNP government that talks big on the NHS but can’t deliver even the basics without creating legal chaos.

A reminder that the highly successful 2008 film Taken, starring Liam Neeson, followed a retired CIA operative hunting down the men who abducted his daughter during a trip to Paris.

The gang he fought were Albanian sex traffickers.

This wasn't some bigoted fantasy. France has long been a destination and transit country for human trafficking, including sex trafficking, and Albanian organised crime groups have operated there for decades.

Citizen Vigilante, starring Armie Hammer, follows a similar premise by tackling a real-world issue. In fact, it was inspired by a case in Germany where the perpetrators of a horrific crime walked free.

Yet now the left wants you to believe Citizen Vigilante is somehow "racist" or "far right". Funny how nobody had that complaint about Taken back in 2008.

So more starting to come out about the Branchform scandal. It’s now been revealed that Dorothy Bain the lord Advocate met with Dishonest John Swinney the day the indictment of Peter Murrell for embezzlement . The meeting was hidden by the SNP until it was revealed in a FOI request that was heavily redacted. It’s been disclosed that they had multiple secret meetings.

If true and I suspect it is then dishonest John should and needs to resign and an independent inquiry must be conducted.

There’s a lot more to come out trust me on this. The SNP past is starting to catch up on them and it’s about time.

EU Ridiculed Over Plans To Only Allow Pro EU Influencers To Cover Summits Excluding Critics Like Eva Vlaardingerbroek

Eurocrats have drawn ridicule for plans to start allowing selected influencers to cover EU summits but only those who are pro EU and have never published views against the blocs values with critics calling it a blatant attempt to control the narrative and shut down free speech.

The guidance requires YouTubers TikTokers and Instagrammers to have a track record of creating content about the EU a significant audience and no significant commercial collaborations while anyone who has criticised EU policies on immigration environment or national sovereignty would be banned from accreditation.

Dutch influencer Eva Vlaardingerbroek with 1.2 million Instagram followers would likely be excluded for promoting British politicians like Rupert Lowe and criticising EU red tape on immigration and the environment while Spanish influencer Silvia Bernal and former Greek politician Yanis Varoufakis would also face bans for similar views.

In contrast German influencer Chiara Gerngrosz has been named by Brussels as one of the top ten EU influencers and would likely be allowed as she posts about strengthening European identity over national identities with coverage due to start next month at summits attended by EU leaders.

Tory MP Mark Francois slammed the move as typical of the EU trying to influence people first while the International Press Association warned that influencers would not have to disclose who pays them unlike accredited journalists who must follow ethical standards.
