Britain is not in recession. The pound has rallied. Armageddon has failed to materialise. So, after a woeful week of howling hysteria, perhaps it's time to return to sanity.
So the pound has come back stronger than it was before the ‘mini-budget’ and now the ONS admits it was wrong about a recession and the economy actually grew in the second quarter.
We don’t have a financial crisis in this country. We have a media crisis. https://t.co/DITLa8jlaV
@MoneySavingExp There are plenty of examples where working smarter not harder improves output and life quality. However, if the business model is to charge by the hour then working fewer but longer days to maintain the same income may not be viable or healthy
@MoneySavingExp For jobs where working Smarter not Harder is possible there is plenty of research to show 4 day weeks for full pay benefits the employer and the employee. For jobs paid on an hourly rate basis this doesn’t work unless the 4 days are made longer to allow income to stay the same
@weetabix@HeinzUK Great thread - always good to have a healthy debate about lifestyle choices...... you’re wrong, obviously, because you forgot the Marmite and fried eggs but at least you’ve started to talk. The first step in the healing process......
@harrismonkey I’ve got one and despite needing a complete new control unit after 300 miles it is a great car! Range can vary a bit depending on driving style and how many toys are switched on but I love it and I’m a petrol head!
