Good lord. Has it really been that long? I started text-based role-playing in AOL chat rooms and MUDs during the mid-90s, and that's why I'm building what I am today. Wild to think that it's been 20 years of @RolePlayGateway, though.
The most notorious characters in the 20-years of recorded history that is the Multiverse. More than 3,500 authors have contributed over that time, some to the tune of millions of words...

@martindale Forum moderation, no question! Imagine dealing with hundreds, if not thousands, of angsty, pseudonymous teenagers, all with their own opinions, practically indistinguishable from the spambots.
"Nobody is retrained for thinking differently." Marlene's voice seemed to echo in Joseph's mind, reverberating.
"I simply show you the truth, you have been taken as a fool by those who you thought were friends."
Will Joseph believe Marlene? Find out: https://t.co/zeGfScV2on
@suckonthislove @stellar_tombs@fruitpxxch There isn't any liberalism left in the modern world. Everyone wants to use the Government to control people's lives.
@suckonthislove @stellar_tombs@fruitpxxch Liberalism is strictly non-violent, as it rejects compulsion and force. Most modern "liberals" are unfortunately in favor of violence, as they support Government's power to dictate how one lives life. Very illiberal.
@stellar_tombs@fruitpxxch Ignoring Government altogether, for one. Go with ground-up markets instead of monopolized services — put the power in the hands of the many, rather than the few.
@stellar_tombs@fruitpxxch Violence is expensive (destructive, reducing net wealth) and unnecessary. Build superior alternatives and disregard the old — anything less is just a power grab.
@JemmaSeattle If everyone voted, as is the law in Australia (where a fine is imposed for not voting), we'd see an overwhelming majority for Trump. You don't want everyone to vote.
