(🧵)And so it is over. A roughly 2 1/2 year period at @TennisCanada that.
Among many highlights of working in the dream industry (tennis), here's a few:
✅ BJKC qualifiers in Vancouver (2x)
✅ BJKC Finals in Glasgow
Slow-mo shots by me

What a disgraceful world cup lat game from Brazil. They have individual talent, but can’t string together a series of good games.
Haaland was walking like he owned the field.
Ngl this World Cup has been robbed as fvck.
So much VAR bs.
Like, every world cup has a bunch of robberies, but this one’s over the top. Soon as we got to where it really counted, VAR went batshit and just be like “yea nah fvck you, you lose because that’s why.”
Got some thoughts on the ITIA after the Vondrousova case.
Mostly on the weird dynamics between players and the Agency, which left me wondering, is the ITIA losing trust of the general public and, most importantly, the players?

@anypolymer I don’t mind the expression of religion, but the way they do it not only is incongruous with the actual base theology and understanding of the source. This is what makes it take credit away.
Also, comparing real world religions with the Wizard of Oz is a little offensive.
I mean, I get the sentiment, but this is some serious misquoting of the bible.
Not uncommon among athletes, who consistently compare ancient Roman persecution, death penalty and torture for religious beliefs to losing at a game.
Anyway, this just makes me a bit sad.
Frances Tiafoe after beating Taylor Fritz to win title in Halle:
"I just want to say one of my favorite scriptures, Romans 8:18. 'The pain that you've been feeling, can't compare to the joy that's coming.' That proves very very true. A few weeks ago had one of the toughest losses of my career at the French Open. To be able to come back and have a good week here and win my biggest title, beating players that I did. It's a huge testimony to that quote. It's something I've been living by... all glory to god." ❤
My apartment's front and back balconies are shared with my neighbours's.
I am sure they smoke cigarettes more than they breathe air.
They go to their balconies, front and back, often.
God, the smell. I close my windows. It's summer.
Why.
@Floppy3891 I think he has tried to get more aggressive. He does that especially on serve. But he continues to revert back to passive tennis when he gets tight, which happens often.
He's definitely tried to change, but it's been tremendously hard for him.
If there's something I learned from Zverev's run to the Roland Garros title, is that I can, with confidence, continue doing the same thing over and over and expect better results.
Imagine Zachary Svajda wins Roland Garros.
Years of Isner, Fish, Querrey, Fritz, Paul, Shelton, Tien, only for the next American man since Andy Roddick to win a grand slam title to come out of absolutely nowhere.
And it’s on clay.
I’d love it.
There is nothing stupider that companies that have gotten so deep into LinkedIn/business/corporate jargon that you have to search their website for clues on what they actually do instead of "offering a vast array of the best solutions with automated systems to our clients."
además de celebrar todos los fallos de primer saque de Medjedovic, etc etc
van por todos los torneos del mundo haciendo eso, y lo que no saben es que están poniendo más presión a su chaval, y buscándole más haters.
que retraso de verdad
@jessicaschiffer Yea no I was agreeing with you. That answer was really weird, and also happy that’s something their putting time and effort to integrate into their brand.
I feel like the manliest thing ever is to have an extremely gay friendships with your straight bros.
We talk extensively about kissing each other and other sexual things.
Only talk.
Or do we? ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Is Jannik Sinner boring?
Short answer is: NO.
But there is a predictability problem in the ATP right now, and, unless you're a Jannik Sinner fan, the tour is just not producing enticing tennis right now.
(please ignore the thumbnail, it's a test)
