Once upon a time, we were promised a cost-of-living payment...
So on this 'Fairytales' themed picket line, forget evil queens and witheld fortunes. We still hold out for our happy ever after!
Give up your golden egg, don't be a sleeping beauty, and pay your workers! #NMLPayUp
It was an honour to take part in Liverpool’s May Day March in solidarity with international and local trade unions, and the people of Palestine.
We also had a chance to send a clear message outside @World_Museum to @NML_Muse that it’s time they pay up what they owe.
#NMLPayUp
@DapperD71783574@PCSLiverpoolMus Interesting that you think the organisation is going to run out of money. Yes, the organisation is looking for lots of ways to save money and finances are difficult, but the gov has provided further funds for projects, which suggests they're not worried about it going under.
Our youngest picketers Eva and Jake made a bee-autiful placard today 🐝✊
@NML_Muse do right by your worker bees and pollinate their pockets with the £1500 cost of living payment they deserve
#NMLPayUp#PCSonStrike
RIP Bernard Hill - I'll never forget the impression you made on me as a child and how it helped shape my understanding of my father's city and the place I now called home.
"Gizza job"!
An amazing actor, such a loss to the profession. 😔
What better than @comconliverpool and a strike to get Captain Kirk, Ferris Bueller, and Captain America together?
We’re outside @World_Museum today and will be all Bank Holiday Weekend, every weekend and half term until @NML_Muse pay us what we’re owed
#NMLPayUp
We're back!
A brilliant turn out on the picket line outside World Museum Liverpool as #PCS members working for NML start their next 30 days of strike action.
Today's picket line was bee-themed as the new Bees exhibition opens at World Museum.

This evening, three of our great reps leafleted outside @World_Museum to let VIP invitees know that whilst they celebrate the opening of a new exhibition on Bees, the worker bees of @NML_Muse are still in dispute over a cost-of-living payment they need. #NMLPayUp#PCSonStrike
@IAmJessPlant@johnpringdns Not helped by the assumption that disabled people cannot drive. When my adapted car was dropped off, I was asked who the wheelchair user was and who the driver was. The delivery person was surprised that the answer to both was me. He just assumed I couldn't drive. 🙈
@MetroMayorSteve@CWUnews So glad to see that you believe workers' rights are important. I do hope you can support @PCSLiverpoolMus workers in their strike action over National Museums Liverpool withholding a one-off cost of living payment that could be transformative to workers' lives. 🙂
It blows my mind how much the government is trying to force disabled/neuro-diverse/sick people back into work by taking away benefits, without actually making the changes to institutions and society that would allow them to work in the first place.
Cart before horse, much? 🙄
🧵 This week, a UK hospital announced that they'd now be using an app which lets disabled people notify them of any access needs in advance. A lot of people are not happy about this, and I'm going to try and explain why.
Our thoughts today, as always, are with all those affected by the tragedy at Hillsborough and the 97 fans who will never be forgotten.
You’ll Never Walk Alone.
We are proud to stand in solidarity with @PCSLiverpoolMus members.
NML claim to support social justice. However, for the past 8 weeks, they have been opening a social history museum with staff picketing outside.

"To acknowledge harm in action and continue on is oppression".
Oppression of disabled people is more common than you'd expect. I know of other cultural institutions that put their artistic integrity before progress.
Solidarity with @DisArtAlliance.

This is our statement regarding our meeting with @The_Globe on Monday 18th March 2024.
Money, money, money 🎶
Our fantastically tuneful strikers have been outside @MuseumLiverpool for 8 weeks asking @NML_Muse for one thing: the money they’re rightfully owed.
Our current strike period is over but we’ll see you back on the picket lines the 4th of May.
