#BitMart will list eCash (XEC) @eCashOfficial 🔥
Built by an experienced team of bitcoin developers who founded Bitcoin Cash, eCash is a fork of bitcoin with a more aggressive technical roadmap.
Guided by the academic vision of Milton Friedman, eCash aims to deliver on key blockchain scaling promises. An innovative Avalanche consensus layer and its own token layer are unique technical highlights of eCash. eCash also aims to introduce features never before seen in a Bitcoin project such as staking, fork-free network upgrades, and subchains.
XEC is the native token of the eCash network and has the following use cases. - Token minting: XEC holders can mint tokens with a custom name, supply, decimal places, and icon via the eCash platform. Users will need to pay for network transaction fees in XEC tokens. The eToken protocol also supports NFTs. - Staking: XEC token holders will be able to participate in Avalanche Staking, which will be a part of eCash governance.

What is the difference between #eCash#XEC and Bitcoin Cash #BCH??
If you don't know, #XEC is a fork of BCH that was created when the BCH network underwent a chainsplit on November 15, 2020. As such, these two chains have a lot in common. They share the same genesis block, the same total supply, consensus mechanism, hashing algorithm, emission schedule, and even the same transaction history until November 15, 2020.
🗣So what makes #XEC and BCH different?
🙋♂️ Funding: #XEC development is self-funded having 8% of each block reward going to the developer fund. This differs from BCH and other #Bitcoin forks where 100% of the block reward goes to miners and funding for developers must come from community donations and sponsors. Another way of putting it is that #XEC developers receive a stable and guaranteed revenue stream directly from the protocol, while BCH development must rely on the goodwill of its community.
🙋♂️ Incentives: Due to the self-funding mechanism in #XEC that guarantees revenues of over 26B XEC/year, #eCash developers are directly incentivized to make the coins as valuable as possible. Effectively, the higher the price, the higher their salary.
On the other hand, because Bitcoin Cash developers do not have a guaranteed income stream, they are primarily driven to play politics to curry favor with the most generous donors.
🙋♂️ Roadmap: As a result of Bitcoin ABC's leadership, the XEC project has a publicly available technical roadmap that lays out a comprehensive approach to how it aims to become the world's money. The near-term focus is to complete the implementation of Avalanche Post-Consensus to work in conjunction with the tried and true proof-of-work consensus mechanism. This would make the #eCash network nearly impossible to attack by 51% and one of the most secure chains in all of crypto. After that comes the activation of staking rewards, making #XEC the first Bitcoin fork to give holders a way to earn passive income to help secure the network while also adding more decentralization.
But as you can see that BCH has no such roadmap!!!
🙋♂️ Strategy: XEC's strategy is to focus on technical superiority. #eCash offers fast and efficient transactions with low fees compared to traditional banking systems and other #cryptocurrencies. The development team focuses on three main improvements to achieve its goal of being an effective P2P cash system:
✅Scaling transaction throughput from 100 transactions per second (TPS) to 5,000,000 TPS.
✅Reducing transaction finality time to near-instant confirmation times.
✅Extending the protocol and establishing fork-free upgrades.
The development team of eCash leverages cutting-edge technology to make eCash the most secure, scalable, and agile network in the crypto space.
On the other hand, BCH's strategy is to focus on better marketing and increasing merchant adoption through community-led efforts. They recently launched SmartBCH, an EVM compatible sidechain to try and attract defi users to BCH.
✍To summarize:
The #eCash project is led by Bitcoin ABC, one of the most experienced teams in all of crypto. They are funded directly from #XEC block rewards, aligning their incentives with the rest of the ecosystem. Their focus is on making technological improvements to provide the best version of peer-to-peer electronic money the world has ever seen. #eCash has several upcoming milestones that look to dramatically improve the user experience as it continues to make some of the boldest changes to the protocol in #Bitcoin's 13-year history.
Bitcoin Cash ( BCH) is a community-led project funded solely through donations from large holders. As such, you won't find an official roadmap, website, or social media presence. Their focus is on increasing merchant adoption and marketing for projects like smartBCH.
On Thursday I'll be interviewing @deadalnix
He is the dev who forked BCH, then left that community by forking off into Ecash.
Along the journey, he was one of the first people to know about the 2018 inflation bug in Bitcoin – he could have exploited it, but instead supported the Core team in fixing it.
