@oldandrewuk If ur following White Rose maths scheme then in maths, schools definitely are. Student teachers I used to mentor would often rock up to teach a maths lesson without having properly looked at the provided slideshow + literally follow it without adapting it. PowerPoint karaoke!

@ICT_MrP I started primary teaching in the early 2000s + remember there still being a lot of teachers in their late 50s/ early 60s still in the classroom. This is something you just don’t see anymore which I think indicates how much more challenging the job’s become. Currently supplying!

@ICT_MrP I left after 22 yrs and been supplying for past 3 yrs + absolutely love it as I just get to do the bit I love, the teaching. Only do day 2 day stuff to avoid being dragged into planning, marking, meetings etc + work pretty much everyday. Get 2 experience every yr group too, N-Y6.
