Beyond Neopolitan, the whole of Team JNPR + Sun Wukong are listed alongside a handful of series villains.

Much of what’s gone wrong with western games (and media in general) is that all of the heightened reality that permeated it before- camp, theatricality, pulp- got siphoned and replaced with “realism” even in tales of outlandish fantasy. Characters must be “authentic”.
