Evolution Makes Weirdos Male

These two graphs are the same graph. To understand why, imagine we are mule deer.

Among mule deer, one successful buck controls a harem of 20 females. To reproduce, a young buck must do whatever it takes to become that one buck in 20, because the other 19 will be stuck lurking around the edges, eying each other and weighing the advantages of homosexuality.

The doe's problem is different; To successfully reproduce, she must be breathing.

Humans are mule deer, as proved by Tinder statistics and our own high school experience; every woman wants that one guy in 20.

Studies consistently show men rate half of women as at least average appearance, while women consistently rate 80% of men as unsightly.

This is not just chicks being cruel. Due to my perverted lifestyle, I was forced to admit I also rate 80% of men as unsightly.

Men and women are playing fundamentally different reproductive games: For men, the object of the game is to reach the top 5%. For women, the object of the game is NOT to reach the bottom 5%, who are dead.

This is why young women do not dive into the swimming pool from the roof of their apartment building.

Here is the young man's calculation:

Young Man: I will probably die, but if I survive, I will show the ladies I have top-5% fitness.

Evolution: That's a good gamble. Go for it!

For women, the calculation is simpler: "If I land on the pavement, I will be in the bottom 5%."

We've been playing this game for 500 million years, which is why the male IQ distribution has what statisticians call, "fat tails."

This spot needs a male fat-tail joke; help me out.

For males to succeed, we must reach the far right end of the IQ distribution. Consequently, evolution rolls the dice with our brains, increasing the odds of creating a genius, but at a terrible price: It also increases our odds of ending up on the far left, the catalytic-convertor thieves and male feminists.

With women, evolution plays it safe, because a woman with 120 IQ will birth no more children than a woman with 80 IQ.

So evolution does not care if a woman's IQ is 120 or 80. In fact, it might prefer 80, and would only give her 120 to increase the odds she will pass it to her son.
