Preemptive thinking is fear based.
As soon as you take action the world around you is going to kick up a dust storm.
And you're afraid of that.
That's why you waste time thinking yourself into plans and strategies.
How do I avoid the dust storm?
(You don't, you walk straight into it)
Dumb people are good at business because they don't think about it, they just execute.
They're actually the smart ones.
The ones who think too hard and never take action are the dumb ones.
Disagree with this post. Math shrinks your brain to the lowest denominator. It trains you to over-tighten your logic and increases thinking against taking action. Only math can convince you emotion is bad and bravado is a mistake.
Emotion is the baseline vibration. Do that instead.
@garyvee Definitely more eyes on social than traditional Hollywood media.
That's why celebrity feels dead. Feels like a race to the bottom, market yourself like everyone else, arts & crafts on social media finish.
There are many things you can say about how an optimized business SHOULD work.
But in practice, if optimizations are not a culture fit, they simply won't.
Some owners might prefer a sales heavy, scale fast, delegate everything workload.
Others will prefer to stay hands on with the technical aspects of the business. Whether that's management, finance, or even product.
Business is after all, a cult of personality.
The next tech / biotech / energy sector billionaire is not a social media influencer.
They're building their brand on innovation, partnership, and B2B sales.
$1b is possible on social media, it's been done before.
But that's more akin to a real estate land grab, not an innovation market.
Don't try to extract more value than you give.
Give. Give. Give. And give some more.
Give away all your best stuff for free.
Giving lowers your CAC to near zero.
You don't even need any sales techniques. Just give.
@Chris_Orlob Strengths are what give each entrepreneur & corporate their unique flavor.
Internally, weaknesses matter. How do we fix them to keep our strengths amplified?
@Donat_Plenter Founder CEO here.
Even as an employee, visionary head and relationship facing are critical roles.
Management can be delegated either way.
CEOs are not managers.
Visionaries about how management should work.
But not managers themselves.
Not in the colloquial sense.
Relationship managers perhaps.
Bizdev, partnerships, executive relationships. Employee-facing and customer-facing branding.
The actual internal management is handled by executive relations and employee branding.
Or if you're a small business, handled by traditional program, project, supervisory roles.
Anything internal is a huge drop in ROI for a CEO.
The work is best handled at the outermost edge of the company.
Outward toward customers and partners.
Inward toward executives.
And employees as a group.
