SANAM CONST is one of the firms awarded Big Push road works.
1. Presently, the quality of work being undertaken by SANAM on the Todome-Toh-Kpalime-Tongor-Dzemeni road in South Dayi absolutely remarkable. The 16km Todome-Toh stretch has never been engineered the way SANAM is presently doing.
2. The evidence of the quality works I see on the ground on monitoring is totally different from what the 4th estate is alleging.
3. SANAM has employed over 50youths in South Dayi alone to work on this project. He came to South Dayi with a workforce consisting of hordes of Engineers, Surveyors, Technicians, Accounts officers, Drivers etc
4. SANAM is delivering the project even ahead of schedule. Certainly what’s happening cannot be the work of a 4 man staff of the company. I suspect a clerical error in the statement of workforce of SANAM Construction firm for his tipper trucks alone are over. 100.
5. In any case, everything must boil down to the legality or otherwise of any public or private action. So the 4th estate must tell exactly which law has been breached & how.

Dear Zambians,
The outfit worn by our President is not a BLOUSE. It is a Ghanaian traditional attire known as FUGU, also called Batakari. Our President is intentionally promoting the local garment industry both within and beyond our borders, unlike your President, whose suit is not African. It is unfortunate that many of you , despite having access to smartphones and the internet, still choose to remain ignorant.
DEAR ZAMBIANS.
History is barely wrong.
Zambia is one of the few countries where the native people vigorously opposed their own leaders for fighting for Independence.
Most of their freedom fighters were hosted, educated and trained in Ghana on how to emancipate their people and gain independence. In fact the penultimate meeting by the respected Keneth Kaunda before his Independence march was held in Accra. The facts are there.
But it seems the long walk to freedom has had little effect on consciousness, for many.
Some of you have a remarkable talent for being unenlightened.
If the Malay President visited Korea in an attire strange to Koreans, they’d simply make use of the internet to acquire new information and NOT ridicule.
But I understand the difficulty also, that the lack of internet access therefore, in many places in Zambia.
It is two thousand and twenty six years plus two months of growth. Not a time to belittle another African of their culture, especially for a country that has no history of “friendly banter” with us. Sorry we are only on that accord, with Nigeria.
Fortunately, Ghana signed a visa free agreement with your country yesterday. Just like your foremost leaders, we invite as Zambians, from Kitwe to Chingola to Chipata and the Copperbelt to visit Ghana and learn.
To learn about Africa. To learn about heritage. To learn that a suit and tie is rather stranger to the continent, not Fugu.
To learn why Ghana became the first subsaharan country to gain Independence, and subsequently hold the hands of the likes of Zambia to walk same path.
And more importantly, to learn why Kwame Nkrumah, the man named after one of the topmost Universities in Zambia, embarked on a journey, seventy years ago, to cure the sort of ignorance exhibited yesterday.
There’s a reason past and present Ghanaian leaders rock the Fugu even on the biggest international stages without apology.
We ARE proud and we ARE an example of how to be African. We preserve and protect our history.
For instance if we shared borders with Zimbabwe, we would have owned the Victoria, and not lose it to them. Agreed?

Yesterday, January 27, 2026, I joined the Minister for Youth Development and Empowerment to inaugurate the Adwumawura Grant Management Committee. Tasked with overseeing fund disbursements, this body operates on a foundation of transparency and integrity. For us, accountability is a sacred commitment, ensuring that every resource is managed with the discipline necessary to build lasting trust and genuine opportunity for our youth.
The committee forms a powerful coalition of experts from the University of Ghana Business School, ABSA Bank, the British Council, and various state agencies like MASLOC and the NYA. With the full backing of the NEIP Board, this group is now charged with the rigorous task of selecting 2,000 viable businesses. This collaboration ensures we have the diverse expertise required to identify and support the nation’s most promising ventures.
I have urged all members to prioritize inclusiveness, equity, and innovation in every decision. Our goal is to ensure the impact of these grants is felt deeply across all demographics. By focusing on high-impact businesses, we are not merely providing financial support; we are actively investing in a more equitable and prosperous future for Ghana.
GOVERNMENT OF GHANA SETTLES US$709 MILLION EUROBOND OBLIGATION
The Ministry of Finance has successfully settled a US$709 million Eurobond obligation on 30th December 2025, ahead of its due date, marking another significant milestone in Ghana’s economic recovery and debt-management efforts.
2. This brings total payments in 2025 alone to US$1.4 billion to Eurobond holders under the restructuring memorandum, comprising payments of US$349.52 million, US$349.52 million, and US$709.00 million.
3. The timely settlement reaffirms Ghana’s credibility as a sovereign borrower and
underscores Government’s commitment to restoring investor confidence through
transparent, predictable, and disciplined debt-service practices.
4. Building on this achievement, Government will intensify reforms in domestic revenue mobilisation, public financial management, and public debt management.
5. Fiscal buffers will continue to be strengthened to support debt-service obligations and sustainably finance Ghana’s development agenda.
6. Government thanks the good people of Ghana for their support and understanding,
which have been vital to the country’s economic recovery.
7. We also take this opportunity to appeal for continued forbearance and cooperation
as further economic reforms are implemented in the coming year to consolidate the gains
achieved in 2025.

NEIP begins a 5-Day training Workshop for Trainers of the Adwumawura Programme
The Training of Trainers workshop is being organized for Innovation Hubs, University Innovation Centers, Training Consultants, Academics and other training partners selected across the country after a field visit to assess their facilities.
The training which is a critical part of the implementation process of the Adwumawura programme will equip training partners with the requisite knowledge and modules of instruction of the curriculum of the Adwumawura programme .
Participants are excited for the knowledge they have gained from the training so far and hopeful of an insightful training session in the coming days.
