Marvel is pitting two iconic 'X-MEN' runs against each other in a new comic run called 'X-MEN '92: INCURSIONS.' 🔥

As the MCU begins to introduce incursions (an event where two universes collide, causing the heroes on both planets to fight each other for their own survival and resulting in the destruction of one or both universes) ahead of 'DOOMSDAY,' Marvel will show them occurring in this run that will force the X-Men of the 90's to fight against the younger characters of 'X-MEN: EVOLUTION.'

The Guardians may have pinpointed him as the perfect candidate acting proactively because they believed his profile would flawlessly serve their grand design, but they severely miscalculated his capacity for defiance. Just because they handed him the power doesn't mean he is bound by their will, allowing him to take the very traits they tried to exploit and use them to forge a truly independent legacy. Could this be an explanation to the trailer of him being in the police cell ?

Lanterns is everything I anticipated.

The aesthetic + overall philosophy behind it = A1

Shot and paced like a prestige HBO drama but exists within the language of a superhero story.

Those two ideas occupying the same space = 🤞🏽🤞🏽

We've become soooo damnnnn accustomed to a particular visual language when it comes to genre storytelling. We forget how much possibility there actuallyyy is within those worlds.

Shows like Lanterns + The Penguin = actively expanding that fucking possibility.

Ain't trying to make comic book stories feel less comic booky.

Treating the material with the same seriousness + artistic ambition we expect from great TV.

Quality writing x Distinct Identity x Quality directing x Comic book mythology.

I see people online talking about how ELITE their games have been up to this point. But games aren’t won in the first quarter, son!!!

Dee is playing like a millionaire with nothing to lose. Devens & Angela are playing like reality TV stars focused on their IMAGE and RESUMES instead of actually WINNING the game.

They played TOO HARD, TOO FAST.

I believe Kamu, Chuk & Haley would’ve ridden with them much further than the other side of the house will.

They left way too many potential enemies on the other side by not eliminating MM

Drew and the young crew are SMART.

Once Kamu, Haley & Chuk are out of the way, THE ICONS ARE NEXT.

And the Icons won’t have the relationships or numbers to save themselves.

Icons = SHOULD HAVE and COULD HAVE ridden that Core 6 much further into this game.

Age-wise AND game-wise, ICONS had more in common with Kamu, Chuk & Haley than they do with the young core on the other side of the house.

They did their thing!

Beautiful continuation of an IP that meant a lot to me growing up.

Every bending sequence/environment/detail = 🎯

They pushed the medium forward in many respects.

Thought the new voice cast was going to be a much bigger hurdle for me than it actually was. OG cast is iconic. Got over that surprisingly quickly. Was satisfied with the performances.

Honestly don't have any complaints about the release being non-theatrical. ATLAB was something I originally experienced through animation, so seeing this story told via my TV with that level of care = 🎯.

Again, art direction = 🎯

Animation raises the bar.

Overall, overwhelmingly positive experience.

Need more stories of this team during their adult years.

I think it’s both beautiful and moving when you can’t quite box an artist in. Big up Momo, man!!

I connected with this record on multiple levels. Sonically, I felt like it moved through folk, dream pop, indie pop, even touches of baroque pop. Love how she was naturally blending everything. Country, alternative pop, even subtle R&B elements. Never once felt forced. Really fucked with the cinematic/melancholic tone she carried throughout the record.

Immediately fell in love with the acoustic-based arrangements. Something grounding about them. Lyrics felt extremely relatable but not surface-level. Felt like there was intention behind them, but they’re still easy to sit with.

What makes this project hit, for me, is that it feels like you’re watching an artist bloom in real time. For me, you really get a sense of who she is as an artist, through this record. This shit feels like her truly stepping away and becoming her own entity outside of Infinity Song. Not in a way that distances her from the group, but in a way that actually deepens your appreciation for them as a collective. This project actually pushed me into an unexpected, unplanned deep dive into Infinity Song’s catalog. Not even on purpose, just naturally happened.

This joint made me slow down and really listen to them as a collective in a different way. I found myself paying more attention to the details, the arrangements, the individuality within the group. This record added context. It made me appreciate the chemistry, the intention, and what they’ve been building that much more.

In the most respectful way, this feels like one of those moments, like when Justin Timberlake, Paul Simon, or Gwen Stefani stepped into their own lanes. Even thinking about Sade, that kind of transition where it’s not about leaving something behind, it’s about expanding what you already loved.

Ironically, knowing she recently worked with Keem makes even more sense after hearing this record. I connect to her music in a similar way. I’m drawn to that diversity, that willingness to move across genres and emotions within a single project.

At this point in life, I need that range. I want to hear the complexity in an artist. There’s really no excuse not to tap into that if you’re fully connected to your artistry. Humans are layered by nature, and the best music reflects that. This project does.

Overall, this just feels like a beautiful offering. It’s always a blessing catching an artist right as things are starting to take off. It reminds me of being tapped in during the blog era, discovering artists like early Cole, Wale, Wiz or Dot before they became household names.

That’s the energy this gave me.

Fucking Harddddd!! Thoroughly both surprised and impressed with the direction they took. Overall look of the film = clean. Esthetic, Color Pattele. Visually both fly and beautiful. Plot actually has some depth too, didn’t come off cheesy. Rock with how they paid homage to both the game and 94’film = creative + rich ways. Subtle nods and creative callbacks. Fight choreo = standout. Action felt sharp + well-paced. Overall = completely exceeded my expectations. They went off!!!!!

Considering what the series was up against aka trying to land the plane, wrapping up a long-running television story in a film format, actors passing away, scheduling conflicts, time itself moving forward, the finale we were given felt satisfying IMO.

Walked out of the theatre full.

Aside from a few minor critiques, suitable send-off to a piece of art I deeply appreciate.

Stood out = the film didn’t lose the Peaky DNA. The tone. The texture. Visually, the cinematography remained captivating.

Given the circumstances, felt that the writers handled things well. narrative remained grounded, moments of character reflection were moving. Story managed to come full circle in subtle ways I.E., Tommy, trapped in the tunnel, still fighting demons that have haunted him.

Peaky is special = never just gangsters. T. Shelbs is, in many ways, a good kid who was fundamentally altered by war. Like countless working-class soldiers forced to fight in conflicts orchestrated by the wealthy and powerful, he returned home carrying trauma.

This is as much a story about a veteran battling PTSD as it is about a Birmingham crime boss.

Show isn’t just about “wise guys.” It’s about: coping with trauma learning how to love yourself trying to love the people around you correctly navigating family loyalty and moral lines balancing business, leadership, and responsibility surviving in a brutal political landscape.

Great art has layers. Peaky Blinders has always had them.

Appreciated how the story honored characters who are no longer present. There were subtle reminders that Polly is still guiding Tommy in spirit, especially in the way he handled potential betrayal from his son.

Impressed by Keoghan. Always risky when a series introduces a different actor for a previously established character. Keoghan brought a natural humility to the role. Genuinely felt like the same character, just grown up. No noticeable drop-off in authenticity.

Same goes for Ferguson, IMO she managed to fill, even if only partially, the emotional space left behind by McCrory.

Cillian delivered a reflective, deeply moving performance, IMO. The man truly taps into something different when he plays this character. Doesn't just act, he transforms. At a certain point, the line between actor and character disappears.

My favorite element of film. The score.

And as expected, it delivered.

Multiple times during the movie I had the urge to pull out my phone and Shazam whatever song was playing. The second I got home, already knew my next rabbit hole would be a deep dive into the soundtrack.
