Tay Keith's cause of death has reportedly been revealed.
Three months after the Memphis producer passed away suddenly in his Nashville, Tenn., apartment, the Nashville Medical Examiner's Office has disclosed how he died, according to an ABC News report published on Thursday (Sept. 17). Tay Keith, born Brytavious Lakeith Chambers, passed away from a drug overdose involving a mix of "mitragynine, 7-hydroxy mitragynine, mitragynine pseudoindoxyl and ketamine toxicity." Mitragynine is a chemical compound found in kratom, a leaf native to Southeast Asia that is used for pain relief, relaxation and increased energy.
The manner of death has been listed as accidental. Police previously noted that no foul play was suspected in the 29-year-old producer's passing.
XXL has reached out to the Tennessee Medical Examiner's Office and Tay Keith's team for comment.
@TheMindOfHY I think Rich Homie Quan. The dude never really fell off in terms of quality of music, but since him and thug ain’t on no good terms it seems like he’s been an outcast along with the fact that I believe he’s independent. He’s had a lot of label issues after the rich gang shit
@TheMindOfHY I don’t know bout that. I think both of em are dope tho. I think you can give an edge on either or, but NOT EVEN HALF of the rapper is something new 🤯
@Watson3172 Not only Shaw he also couldn’t win without Phil brotha. Hate to break it to you but without Phil there was a time he couldn’t even make the playoffs 🤷🏾♂️. He’s an alll time great but top 3 he’ll nah 😂
@WoahzSlim@dyde_martin@dylon_swartwood@XXL The difference between me and others is that I admire people’s gifts not the actual person. Those who’s stanning and fanning for Cole probably never met him, which takes away from being clear minded and objective.
@imRiCH247@WoahzSlim@dyde_martin@dylon_swartwood@XXL When I mean collaborations I’m talking about everything in terms of features and production. Forest hills drive is his least produced album. He produced damn near 95% of KOD. It doesn’t mean it’s bad, it’s just that I think working with others will help him allot
@WoahzSlim@dyde_martin@dylon_swartwood@XXL I agree . I’m fan of cole’s music and even I give that album a 7. I think he’s like the dude on the block that’s a dope hooper but prefers to hoop in his indoor court than playing with the other hoopers on his block. There’s no great album that doesn’t have collaborations.
