🇬🇧 The British Ambassador, Alastair King-Smith and the UK Defence Attaché, Lt Col Timothy Wight-Boycott had the opportunity to visit a self-defence training session which is part of a two week programme across Albania.
The programme is part of the commitment of the UK to the Women, Peace and Security policy framework. The need for instruction in self-defence was identified by the members of the Women in Uniform Association project which seeks to overcome barriers faced by women who work in the Albanian security services.
Two UK female instructors from the UK's military police branches, Cpl Heather and LCpl Cross, will deliver daily sessions across the cities of Tirana, Shkoder, Durres and Vlore over the next two weeks with the aim of equipping as many women from the Albanian Armed Forces, Albanian State Police and Albanian General Directorate of Customs in basic self-defence techniques.
I can't believe it's taken this long, but my directing showreel is finally updated and I am keen to connect with fellow filmmakers from Kent or the South East.
Got a script for the BFI Short Film Fund?
A micro-feature idea?
Just want to chat?

This guy had the guts to speak from the heart about Balenciaga while his gutless co-hosts quaked in fear of having an Unapproved Opinion.
He ripped out his earpiece because he was being told to stop and he didn’t care.
Bravo.

nah @StarbucksUK you should be ashamed of yourselves. In this big cost of living crisis we’re in you’re just throwing away food with complete disregard, literally right outside your own stores too. there’s local food banks and apps like @TooGoodToGo_UK to help prevent food waste
