@1_Stupid_Fuck Read in context, it’s talking about the court in Puerto Rico. This case is important, however, because of a separate point, it makes reinforcing the application of Downes versus Bidwell.
@1_Stupid_Fuck Correct, but once again, the people/ citizens are the grantors and beneficiaries of the public trust. Our duty is to ensure that when we delegate authority to the public officials/trustees that we also discipline it’s exercise.
@MrPitbull07 Never paint such a masterpiece. It’s hard to tell the finish may be dull. It’s way way way too cluttered.Wax or top off with oil based varnish or french polish. DECLUTTER x 1/10th or so. Maybe find a way to internally light it with warm soft light on a dimmer.
@EducatedinLaw@AVGirl4Life False. See Hooven & Allison Co. v Evatt, 324 US 652, 671 (1945). 28 USC 3001 definition only applies in that section. And finally, only each state by itself is a republic, the union of states and any territorial government is not. See, e.g., Downes v Bidwell, 182 US 244 (1901).
Glad I wasn't on X yesterday for the usual round of "everybody shitting themselves because Bitcoin is down, it's proxies are down because the entire market is down because Trump tweeted about tariffs."
Seen the clown show many times now.
Only thing that matters is $ liquidity, broad market sell-offs on a Friday are boring now.
@dotkrueger Fred, the executive branch can only enforce laws passed by Congress. Const. Art. II, Sec. 3. An executive order applies to employees of the executive branch. What Act of Congress enabled confiscation (forced sale) of Gold from members of the general public in Union states?
@GuntherEagleman Whatever the benefit might be, when someone is resident in a Union state they have the same rights to property as any other. The issue would have to be solved at the immigration stage.
@Winning4Him That depends on if “State of California” is the same as California. Maybe one is only federal areas, wherein they can do most anything they want.
