@Will_i_am_P_@MikeMcMahonCHN NCAA Hockey hasn’t worked that way, not that it couldn’t, but hasn’t. This will balance. May actually see more dev of the Minor leagues, ECHL/AHL,some development for pro hockey will need to take place later. There’s not a lot of players playing NHL after full NCAA careers
@Buccigross I think there will be more impact from the defensive zone hand pass rule change than this. Maybe on a PP clear, but rare to see a NCAA goalie play the puck outside that area in general.
@JD04107@Buccigross@MikeGrinnell_ They can still play the puck above the goal line. I honestly see very few college hockey goalies play the puck outside that area. I think this is an effort to pick up a few extra chance penalties to increase power plays. Not sure it has as much effect in the NCAA as you think
@CHN_AdamWodon No doubt it changes recruiting dramatically. It also challenges the players who may have a spot one year and then be told to move on the next.
@philgpbp The absolute best and a gentleman. My wife and I spent a season traveling to all @QU_MIH games back in 18/19. I never met him face to face but when he first passed me in an arena he greeted me with a Hello Ron. He’s a national treasure
@PerfectTrev@FriedgeHNIC That’s why they don’t ask how, they ask how many. Hockey is a sport where you can win “dirty”. The puck bounces in funny ways.
@UConnSN@UConnWBB@UConnMBB@UConnFootball@PWStadium MBB & WBB play on Hartford and Mohegan because they draw fans. Football plays 5-6 home games a year in a stadium 3-4x the size of Gampel and 2x the Hartford Peoples Bank Arena. An in campus or near campus venue would increase student engagement.
@EshaAA33 Coming to the US should be about assimilation. You can bring your culture, traditions and religion, but you cannot prohibit others from their own. If it offends you, eat somewhere else.
@avheaton@Q30Sports@QU_MIH@Cataractes_Shaw I wouldn’t ever second guess Pecknold, but I loved Hockley when he joined mid season the year before and think he was the odd man out this year. I wish him the best and honestly wish he was still a Bobcat.
@MichaelNIXG Ok, so as a Catholic I probably have an unpopular opinion. But if a “charity” needs government funding on top of their tax exempt status to operate, they are an NGO not a charity. If it was something their donors want, it will be funded by them.
