I’ve been meeting with UIUC undergrad engineers as they are trying to start companies and these kids are the most brilliant people I’ve ever met good God 😭😭😭🙏🏿

I used to be jealous of how the engineers were treated on campus but please invest more money in them lmao

@alexdtang I did the Technology and Management (T&M) minor in undergrad so I was a bit familiar with the resources and the brilliance of the engineering programs, but the application and transition of what they’re learning in class to build startups at this point is insane!

I’ve found so much joy in staying at home, helping founders, and going to cool events around the city that I choose every week.

There’s so much power in authenticity and just trying to be a good person. I want this to be my life forever, respectfully.

@Sergyy10 I think it’s one thing to be good in engineering and another thing to be good in entrepreneurship and building solutions outside of the classroom though lol.

I think seeing how they implement what they’re learning in different innovative solutions has been really cool 🙏🏿💯

Nobody reads my tweets anymore so I’ll say this — I’m very proud of myself for my transition on how I view homecoming.

Instead of partying, I’m meeting with faculty and friends that made my undergrad experience so legendary. It truly takes a village! 🙏🏿💯

There are mediocre people that settle for less than what they can achieve at every socioeconomic level. And there are great people that understand that it takes work to be great no matter the background. And yes it is harder coming from a lower socioeconomic background.

Not sure if this is controversial, but I was having a conversation about greatness today and what it looks like from different socioeconomic backgrounds.

What I feel is that although that 100% matters, it is more important to decide if you want to be mediocre or great.

The biggest thing I’ve learned throughout VC, Entrepreneurship, and life is that good things come to those who wait.

Stop trying to rush VCs to fund you, stop trying to hurry to find the right investment. Take the time to meet amazing people, and just be a good person.

The best thing I did for myself over the last few years was completely pull back from social media and focus on my mental health.

There will be no announcement or accomplishments messages about my last few years. I did the work for myself.
