@boomers_ass A parent child tanker concept is not a bad thing. After all, a million lbs. of fuel in the air doesn't mean a damn thing if you only have 1 boom offloading with 1 pump (1500 lbs/min) to 4 pumps (6000 lbs/min) in KC-135 terms.
@MCCCANM 30 Nov 92, we lost a B-1 (Dyess) and 2 C-141s (McChord). A lot of lives lost that night. SGLI was to increase from 100k to 200k the next day. I heard (no proof in hand) all the crew’s beneficiaries got the increase. Horrible coincidence, not a conspiracy.
@MCCCANM I get the computers are much more advanced than when I flew, so is the CI able to suck in predictive/reported winds at other altitudes to give you additional CI options? Not a huge option on NATS and similar daily track sets I would assume.
@howcoryseesit@doncatskills https://t.co/Vqe3QlJjvj can get you started including a near by club. Sat 27 June is Ham Radio Field Day, good chance your local clubs will be set up in public places demonstrating the hobby.
@Ally_Sammarco This has got to be a parody account. A political strategist not understanding why’s significant number of people in LA might be grasping at anything? Pretty good, had me for a minute.
@DPaulCraig@daveiq@SportsCenter I had forgotten that posting links when not paying for X is iffy. The change to allow salutes out of uniform is in the 2009 NDAA.
@scottrkrol@RobManess The crazy now is the oldest B-52 still flying is newer than the oldest KC-135 still flying. And all the BUFFs and KC-135s are older than the first Wright Flyer was when they came off the line.
