@infraa_ @Scott_7791 In the past, companies took on the risks to provide pensions, ie passive income for retired employees. Now, the risks have been transferred to employees via 401k(s)and stocks. Your retirement is subject to market volatility. Imagine the stock market crash before you retire.

@infraa_ I can testify to your point. I work in the retail sector. One day I was working, there was a normal 19 years old fella walked up to me and asked if we are hiring bc he checked around all the retail stores nearby and nobody is hiring!
