Good morning from the Garden State where one fifth grade teacher in Scotch Plains just received the surprise of a lifetime. Congrats Emily Litz, you’re a NJ #MilkenAward winner! Emily creates an inclusive, engaging atmosphere where her fifth grade students feel empowered and supported at Malcolm E. Nettingham Middle School. Litz implements creative ways to capture her students’ interest and sprinkles them with glitter for good luck before testing. We are so proud to welcome Emily to the Milken Educator family!

We are SO lucky at @Ironia_Elem to have an incredible team of girls, an amazing staff and fabulous parent volunteers to help and support us on practice 5K day! Way to go girls; you did it!!! #gotr 🏃🏽♀️
Breh, a student at Ironia, won the opportunity to be Teacher for the Day. She was given the choice to select a teacher to shadow for an entire school day to better understand what a teaching day looks like. Given her passion for art, Breh chose to shadow Art Teacher Heather Lade.
On top of it being the 100th Day of School, we also celebrated Global School Play Day with our students and staff. This event promoted imaginative play, problem solving, and student to student interaction 🎲 #GSPD2024
Our @Ironia_Elem indoor StoryWalk has changed over to Change Sings: A Children’s Anthem by Amanda Gorman. Very excited for our students to visit and discuss the themes of this story!
The Randolph Education Foundation (REF) awarded $7,880 in Next Practices Grants to six teachers in Randolph Schools. The recipients of the grants will provide students with innovative, hands-on experiences inside and outside of the classroom.

It was a special night at Morris County College to celebrate the artwork of our 3rd grade @Ironia_Elem and @CenterGroveES students who created art pieces with the support of the Randolph Transition House for the #CloseTheGap program. Each student piece was uniquely designed 🖌️
We were so lucky @Ironia_Elem to have @babagotbars join us to teach our students the ABCs using hip hop and how rap can help with the writing process in grades 3-5. It was beyond an engaging experience for all 😊
Congratulations to 4th Grade Teacher Crystal Nzegwu who was selected as this year's Educator of the Year at Ironia Elementary School!
