Scotland’s health boards spend up to £18m disposing of medicines that go unused and expire.
Improper disposal of unused or expired medicines – such as binning them or flushing them down the toilet - can also cause environmental contamination and public health risks.

Very sad to hear this news. I first knew Malcolm when he was councillor for the old Strathbungo ward in my constituency. He was a man deeply committed to his party but always courteous on the campaign trail. My condolences to his family and Labour colleagues
