Abortion allows women from developed countries to pursue their dreams
Don't worry about Canada's population growth or GDP, we can replenish those through desperate immigrants
I was limited by space, but if I had more room I would’ve outlined some of the reasons why immigration isn’t the easy answer to Canada’s fertility crisis, including that:
1) Fertility is declining globally, meaning everyone will be competing to attract the most educated, best workers, etc.
2) Immigration doesn’t raise the population proportionally across the country the way fertility does naturally. Immigrants tend to settle in bigger cities with the most resources, opportunities, social services and so on.
3) Immigration front-loads the strain on certain resources and services. Immigrants need housing immediately; babies live with their parents, which gives communities time to build the infrastructure they will need as adults
4) Immigration comes with integration challenges: on language, culture and so on. The influx of newcomers under the Trudeau government shattered Canada’s consensus on immigration, and it will likely take careful, deliberate policy over decades to bring attitudes back to where they once were
Travis Dhanraj confirms what Conservatives have been saying all along:
❌ CBC lacks integrity
❌ CBC silences opposition
❌ CBC seeks to operate with ZERO accountability
All this despite receiving millions of taxpayer dollars.
Conservatives will not allow this to continue.
