He's not in power and Carney has a majority. Poilievre has been very clear on immigration. Only allow in enough that can be supported with jobs and our social system can support. How much clearer does he need to be? We have already seen the damage bringing in a million more people each year has created on our housing, job and medical system? Poilievre and the conservatives have seen and recognized the failure of this policy?
Liberals and Carney have not. Trading off our housing and medical system well being for a temp boost in GDP seems more than acceptable to liberals. Carneys fear of recession will prove he is no economic genius and must be avoided at all cost. Canadians will pay for this in the long run!

Under harper we in fact did have the richest middle class in the world, had balanced budgets, and people could actually afford to buy a home and start a family.
