@SmallerFishGAA You said in your post match interview with Liam Cahill that Darragh would be βmad to change itβ now you say he should change it. Why the change of opinion @SmallerFishGAA
@SmallerFishGAA In both hurling and football the use of consecutive hand passes should be limited to 2 consecutive hand passes and the ball must be struck/kicked.
Brings both kicking and striking back to the fore in both codes.
Dear Friends, we've just learned that our own Keith "Beefy" Landy faces a serious health challenge & has returned home for urgent treatment. Keith's friends in @Jumeirah_Gaels have set up a GoFundMe pg & all support would be hugely appreciated. Thank you. https://t.co/VuBv3NI72b
@ExaminerSport That just encourages teams to put more players behind the ball which doesnβt address the problem. There should be no pass back to the goalie though.
Might be an idea to start with no consecutive hand passes, would like to see this in both codes tbh.

@ShaneSaint@twiceasnice97 I would have thought that in contact the use of the βBrick flickβ would be useful? In relation to coaching what would you say was your focus with the new rule? It could be argued that the current hand pass situation reduces contact because the release of the ball is too quick?
@NWaldron45@ShaneSaint How do you propose a ref keep up with the modern day game?
As I said glad to see it being trialed and the new rules are already skills of the game itβs just trying to take out one of the most fouled parts of the game. Donβt fear change, just see how it goes π
@NWaldron45@ShaneSaint Great to see the hand pass rule being brought in on trial.
Tbf to referees it is near impossible for refs to police it in its current form so your argument to enforce the current rule doesnβt stand up.
@SmallerFishGAA Flicking it over his head would never have got it far enough to create the goal opportunity.
Your easier and faster option would never have created the goal chance.
Simply incredible skill and vision by a brilliant player π
