@SmallerFishGAA In both hurling and football the use of consecutive hand passes should be limited to 2 consecutive hand passes and the ball must be struck/kicked.
Brings both kicking and striking back to the fore in both codes.

@ExaminerSport That just encourages teams to put more players behind the ball which doesn’t address the problem. There should be no pass back to the goalie though.
Might be an idea to start with no consecutive hand passes, would like to see this in both codes tbh.

@ShaneSaint @twiceasnice97 I would have thought that in contact the use of the ‘Brick flick’ would be useful? In relation to coaching what would you say was your focus with the new rule? It could be argued that the current hand pass situation reduces contact because the release of the ball is too quick?

As I said glad to see it being trialed and the new rules are already skills of the game it’s just trying to take out one of the most fouled parts of the game. Don’t fear change, just see how it goes 👍
