I was called "rude but polite" by an "honorable" Deputy of another Sheriff's Office for explaining the law to him after tried to coerce me into breaking the law/my SOP's for him.
Thats kinda a compliment right? Lol
*gets email about a report that needs to be done*
Power goes out at office while in the middle of typing my narrative....
Sooooooo how do I explain this one?
๐จ#BREAKING: Multiple Emergency Response Teams has been Deployed to Address Submerged Barge Carrying 1,400 Tons of Toxic Methanol in the Ohio River
๐#Louisville | #Kentucky
โจA major incident has taken place in the Ohio River near Louisville, Kentucky, requiring multiple emergency response teams. Ten barges have detached from their tugboat and are stranded at a dam, with one carrying over 1,400 tons of methanol, a highly toxic substance, and reportedly sinking. It is uncertain if there has been any leakage, but if so, the substance will likely dilute quickly, although some fish mortality may occur. The other barges were carrying soybean oil and corn.
@ShottyDoc I think this is important mostly for kids and young adults forming their own opinions on things. If they are pressured to form an opinion they very well could form one they they don't fully grasp or agree with but is the "social norm"
@MileHAndrew@infantryc7 Even tonight I made a stop and was able to watch both occupants from the passenger side and then when contact was finally made she said "I didn't expect you to be there"
My reply- That's the whole point! :) with a smile of course
@MileHAndrew@infantryc7 Precisely. No trace amount of DNA that puts you in the view of an occupant of MV is anywhere near as significant as the tactical advantage of the element of surprise holds. Control the situation from the start. Don't plan for defeat.
