@PradhanShashank But, as a professional, he is exceptional. In spite of being at pinnacle of his profession, the way he does his homework for every assignment is worth following by other professionals.
@Khurpench_ Bhai,
The bigger issue here is- if it is bad and harmful, it should not be produced and sold anywhere. If it is not, why it should be banned in one part, but, sold in others, in the Country. Govt. earning taxes from mfgrs and citizens in many states, but, put in Jail in others.
@Akshinii@ShashiTharoor@Ram_Guha Ma'am,
All points have merit and not any point requires debate.
How, how many of the present era, honestly, would qualify on the parameters you have rightly mentioned?
While everyone gets busy with cockroach party and Annamalai and so on, remember more than 20 lakh kids are sitting at their homes and hostels and revising over and over for their Re-NEET exams to be held on 21st June. Some have even lost their lives which is heart wrenching beyond grief and sorrow. Keep them in your prayers and well wishes. 🙏 #NEET2026

2010, New Delhi, I was driving home late one night around 1 AM after a family gathering.
I stopped at a red traffic light in Green Park. There were no other vehicles around, just our car.
Suddenly, a BMW pulled up behind us and started honking aggressively, demanding that we drive through the red light.
I pointed to the signal and stayed put.
The driver got out, dressed in a suit, hurled abuses at me, and ordered me to move. When I refused, and picked up my phone, he banged on my window. Eventually he backed off, got back in his car, and sped away by cutting across in front of me. I drove off when the signal turned green.
This is the reality of India, even today: owning a big car, a big house, or having formal education is no guarantee of basic civility, class, or moral character.
This was just one of many road rage incidents in New Delhi/NCR, I experienced before I finally decided to pack my bags and leave the country.
A truly civilized society is one where people follow the law even when no one is watching, and do what is right without needing supervision.
When I moved to Singapore, this is exactly what I saw, people naturally did the right thing. The same held true when I later moved to Europe.
Regarding the recent dancing incident at the airport, many people defended it by saying, “The authorities didn’t have a problem, so why do you?” That’s exactly where they miss the point.
You never know who is sitting on the same flight, someone mourning the loss of a loved one, a person who just received a cancer diagnosis, a parent who lost a child, or someone who just lost their job. When you show such insensitivity in shared public spaces and don’t care about other people’s emotional state, that’s where a society fails.
People often abuse me for raising these issues and quickly brush them aside by saying, “Every country has problems.”
That’s true, every country does have its issues.
But the scale is vastly different. Other countries have 99% civility and 1% assholes. In India, it feels like 99% assholes and 1% civility.
Yes, I agree that no country is perfect, but the proportions make all the difference.
To those who defend such behavior and treat every public place like their personal living room: fuck off.
Way back in 2019, I reported extensively about the Globarena Intermediate marks fiasco in Telangana.
In fact, I had run a major campaign on my media company Mojo TV. We were the first TV channel up pick the story too.
23 students died by suicide, I spoke with all their families and it was truly heartbreaking.
I remember one particular case where a single mother who worked as a farm labour was very proud of her bright daughter. The entire village came to support her education, everyone pitched in with books, commute and all expenses. When the Globarena marks mess up happened, she cried the whole night. Her mother told her it is okay, and she can go for reevaluation or write the exam again, morning the mother wakes up to see her daughter hanging in the middle of the house.
I had demanded blacklisting Globarena, arresting the officials. But I guess companies like Globarena are pests that never die, they just transform into something bigger and dangerous and come back to haunt.
Globarena now has become Coempt Edu Teck that messed-up the CBSE evaluation.
Globarena in 2019 messed up results of 9.74 lakh students in Telangana. Out of this total, approximately 3.8 lakh students failed. 23 suicides were reported. Back then too Globarena failed to provide the answer sheets.
After all this, Globarena transforms into Coempt Edu Teck, messes up the future of 18.5 lakh CBSE students across the country.
It is almost like they got rewarded for bad behaviour.
The officials who were giving approvals for CBSE just 74 days prior knew the history of Coempt Edu Teck. They knew the company is incompetent, but still decided to go ahead and give them the tender.
Yes, the Globarena/ Coempt Edu Teck guys are fabulous at landing tenders. The names and associations of Coempt Edu Teck board now seem to run pretty deep in the highest offices.
Unless the rot is burnt right from the root level, this won’t stop. All board members, directors, CEO, investors, government employees that tweaked the system to ensure Coempt Edu Teck got the contract should be dragged to the courts & never should be allowed near any business again.
But in this country that is so much in love with corruption, I doubt if this will ever change. Coempt Edu Teck may soon get the tender for all exams across the country.
PS: To all the students, one exam is not the end. Kudos to your fight. Keep fighting, never ever give up.
And if you are feeling low, speak with friends and family or reach out to any helplines.

Firstly, my heartfelt appreciation to all the Class 12 students who are fiercely fighting back against the CBSE marks fiasco. The way you are holding people in power accountable is truly inspiring.
It is unfortunate, however, that Globarena, the same company that botched the Telangana Intermediate 2019 results had simply changed its name and secured an even bigger contract from CBSE, only to create a far greater chaos.
For the record, when the Globarena fiasco happened, the BRS government took appropriate action. Based on a three member committee’s findings, the concerned officials were sacked, and Globarena was taken to the court.
Unfortunately, the CBSE board ignored this history. I understand that the board changed rules repeatedly just to clearly accommodate a very incompetent organization.
The Union Government must answer for this mess. The Education Minister must answer.
The future of this country cannot be built on a broken & rotten system
Next year is a year away. What about kids suffering now due to erroneous checking leading to
- not meeting 75% threshold for admission in IIT and BITs
- failing in one subject and missing out on admissions secured.
Find a judicious decision soon and help such candidates. #cbse
