Hey Survivors,
Just an update on 1.29: we are in the final stretch and are in the process of submitting builds to the relevant platforms. We hope to have the update out within the next few weeks. We will let you know the exact release date once all submissions pass. A full wipe is still planned across all platforms. We will also release the "DayZ in 2026" article alongside the 1.29 update.

Just incase anyone finds it interesting. Here's how DayZ handles different surface types. The 1st image is "satmap", it controls the colours of the surface. 2nd image is "surface mask", each colour represents a different type of surface material e.g grass, dirt or concrete etc
