Data from the (KNBS) shows that out of 1.208 million hospital births recorded in 2023, over 220,500 were C-sections, a procedure that typically costs between Ksh 220,000 and Ksh 300,000 at top private hospitals, compared to Ksh 80,000 to Ksh 100,000 for natural deliveries.
