@RealKhaylee My attorney told me there are only 5 answers to any deposition question. Yes, no, i don’t know, i don’t remember, can u repeat the question. worked great.
I had no idea..
"This man was born in 1809.
In 1816, at age 7, he was forced to work because his family was expelled.
In 1818, he lost his mother.
In 1828, he lost his sister.
In 1831, he opened his first business and went bankrupt.
In 1832, he stood in the legislative elections and lost.
In 1833, he borrowed money to open another business and went bankrupt again.
In 1835, he met a wonderful woman. He falls in love with her, they get engaged, and she dies.
In 1836, he entered a dark period of his life: deep depression.
He remains bedridden for 6 consecutive months. But he gets up.
He gets up and in that same year of 1836 he runs in the legislative elections and loses again.
In 1840 he presented himself as an elector; he loses.
In 1842, he met the woman he would end his life with.
They fall in love, get engaged, get married and she gives him 4 children and they lose 3 (three).
In 1843, he appeared at the congresses and lost.
In 1845, he appeared again at the congresses and lost again.
In 1850, his son died.
In 1854, he ran for the Senate and lost.
In 1856, he ran for Vice President, he didn't even have 100 votes.
In '58, he ran again for the Senate and lost again.
And in 1860 ABRAHAM LINCOLN was elected President of the United States of America 🇺🇸.
He was elected for two exceptional terms (he was assassinated in beginning of the second term.) He was one of the most respected and impactful Presidents in the history of the United States 🇺🇸.
It's important to tell this story of perseverance because we see the hero, but we don't see the backstage of the afflictions. "
Wow. ...
I think this is a great example of Never Never Never Give Up! 🇺🇸🇺🇸
@ThePGACaniac That said, I am watching the games. There’s something special about every country rooting their team on even if the game itself drives me crazy with the dives and fake injuries and the tackles when there’s a potential breakaway and the silliness of their offside rule.
@ThePGACaniac Always enjoyed the game in a similar venue. Recall watching USA Germany in an Austrian bar. But the game itself has so little entertainment value….
Completely agree. We still have upside with Stankoven and Blake. I think we still have upside Svechnikov and Kotchetkov. Our vets will stay solid. Ehlers will add even more. We have a couple young guys ready to step up like Nadeau for the Jarvis injury. If we stay healthy going into the playoffs we will be a favorite to repeat.
Lionel Messi on the 100-year-old fan holding the “100 YEAR OLD MESSI FAN” banner:
🗣️ “When I saw her in the stands… I honestly had to hold myself together. In that moment, football disappeared for me. It wasn’t a stadium anymore, it wasn’t noise, it wasn’t pressure it was just emotion.”
“Someone who has lived a whole century of life… through wars, through generations, through everything the world has endured… and she is still here, smiling, holding my name in her hands. I don’t even know how to explain what that feels like.”
“It made me think about everything my first steps in football, the dreams I had as a child, the sacrifices my family made… and somehow, through all those years, my name reached someone like her. It’s overwhelming.”
“I don’t deserve something like that. No player does. Because this goes beyond football. This is love from a lifetime, not just a moment.”
“I looked at her and I just wanted to stop time for a second… to say thank you properly. Not as a footballer, but as a human being who understands how rare it is to be loved like that for so long.”
“There are goals that make noise, trophies that make headlines, but this… this was something completely different. Pure, unconditional connection between two lives that were never meant to meet, but somehow did through football.”
“If I could give her anything, it wouldn’t be a shirt or a photo. It would be time. Because the fact she spent part of her life supporting me… I will carry that forever.”
“When I retire, I will remember nights like this more than anything else. Because at the end of everything, football is not about records… it is about hearts that connect without even speaking.”
“And in that moment, I realized something very simple… I am not just playing for trophies. I am playing for people like her.”
All you guys who follow Hockey are smarter than me. Clue me in and correct my thinking; I just can’t see Connor McDavid staying with Edmonton. That team is going to decline. Would he be worth chasing to join the Hurricanes ?
I think if the team was kind of at the end of its potential, the likelihood of Staal and/or RBA retiring is higher. But we have a core signed for at least five years, plus tremendous subside with our low cap and our young players in their development. This team has a chance to get to the Stanley Cup every year for the next five plus years, I’m not sure RBA would not want to experience that if possible.
I have been fortunate to celebrate my teams winning 5 super bowls, 4 NBA championships, and 4 world series. They don’t compare to this past 2 month experience culminating in a stanley cup championship.
Need to be ready this will be the hardest period Hurricanes probably ever played. Vegas is no way gonna lay down. can we stay the course, stay out of the box and close it out.
