Just like the natural cycle of the world, some things must come to an end, and as you know some ends are beginnings, Mork's adventure has now come to an end and we are deeply grateful to those of you that continued to believe in it until the very end. Today I drew a Yayoi Kusama-inspired background for Q+K.
I was fascinated by the 'Psychology' within this simple pattern: I felt trapped, I looked for escape routes, I felt the 'breath' of the grid. Complexity in simplicity.

The way forward

We have been brainstorming a lot with our community, thinking and working at creating new dynamics in the Q+K project for this new year.

"the ultimate goals are creating new tools to bring more to our collectors through our art and ensuring sustainability in the future, improving community engagement, and adding more members to the Q+K family… “

🏴‍☠️ 🏴‍☠️ 🏴‍☠️ HACKING SEASONS 🏴‍☠️ 🏴‍☠️ 🏴‍☠️

The length of the Hacking Seasons will be adjusted to a 6 month period. The first 6 month season will be the next, Season 6, namely from May 2023 until October 2023, with a trait claim planned for the beginning of November.

▫️ From the end of Season 6 onwards, there will be a symbolic transformation. There will no longer be a free trait claim; instead, collectors will be able to purchase traits at a reasonable price (around $50 to $75), with the aim of increasing scarcity and to cover tech costs. Accordingly, the current Season 5 will be the last with free traits as a hacking reward.

▫️ The top Hackers in future seasons will benefit from early access to the new traits released for sale! The first time this change will come into effect will be at the end of November, following the end of Season 6, and more information will be released closer to that date to assure alignment with the evolution of the project.

🔥🔥🔥 BURNING MECHANISM 🔥🔥🔥

▫️ The introduction of this mechanism is to halt oversaturation of traits and bases within the project, therefore increasing the rarity of the traits.

▫️ Burning will happen in the form of 6 month seasons, however the first season will be approximately 8 months long, namely from June 2023 till January 2024. This is to ensure that the Hacking and Burning Seasons do not run at the same time, and also to facilitate community members as they gain a better understanding of the dynamic of the mechanism.

▫️ The first burning season is provisionally planned for June

▫️ All traits, bases and some other Hackatao artworks previously minted in large editions can be burned every season, but there will be limitations to protect rarity of certain traits.

▫️ As a special reward for burning at certain levels to be specified each burning season, Hackatao will release a new artwork in a limited edition (e.g. an edition size of 23). To allocate those editions, there will be a double criteria:

The majority will be automatically given to the top burners who manage to collect at least a minimum certain amount of points, receiving the edition at the end of the burning season and seeing their burning points reset to 0.

The remaining few will be given out in a raffle, where collectors use their built-up burning points to enter the raffle. The more points accumulated, the more your chances of winning the raffle.

All Collectors who won a reward (automatically or raffle) will see their points reset to 0 and all others will keep their points for the next season.

❄️❄️❄️ FREEZING & SANDBOX ❄️❄️❄️

▫️ We remind you that if you want to see your avatars transform into playable characters within the Sandbox world, you need to freeze your Royals before the end of March.

▫️ As we have already announced, upon freezing a Royal, the collector who owns that Royal gains commercial rights over the image of that avatar, and gains access to a world of possibilities such as the collaborations with Sandbox, Faceless, B&O.

And not only this boils in the pot.
Throughout 2023 there will always be surprises for Q+K Holders.
The first one will happen in April.

And for 2024?
We are working on it because we are strong over long distance
